Rotisserie Chicken in the Instant Omni Plus

Today I am cooking a 4 lb. chicken in my Instant Omni Plus, using the rotisserie function. This was my first time utilizing this feature and it turned out awesome. I must also note i was extremely impressed with how well it cleaned up as well.

The bottom heating elements are off during roasting so put your foil on top of the bottom elements and they won't get dirty.

That only applies to the Omni. The Omni Plus uses both top and bottom elements on Roast mode. You could however use the Air Fry mode in the Omni Plus and use the drip tray.

Turn Sounds On or Off When the oven is in Standby mode the display indicates OFF. Press and hold both dials (Presets and Temp/Time) for 3 seconds to turn the sounds on (S On) and off (SOFF). Note: Error alerts cannot be silenced

Hey great video next time just put tin foil in the bottom of the tray I have the instant omni and that works great too

I am on the verge of buying this fryer!! Not to insult here but did you read the directions on that? I do not believe those elements are supposed to be exposed. I bet the drip tray was supposed to be ABOVE the cooking elements or that would just be a stupid design!

Hi, Jamaal, thanks for sharing. A question, do you know a way to tell if the heater coil on the top is working or not? Mine always look the same, doesn't matter which mode I use. Feels like it never worked. If it's like a electric stove burner, I would expect it to change color when it's hot. When I do air fry, the food in central area of the basket seems cook slower than those close to the border, which doesn't make good sense. The fan is blowing from right the top of the coil, so the center area should be hotter than the other areas. Please share your thoughts. Thanks.

To the best of my knowledge it only comes into use when using air fry and broil modes. Even then it doesn’t change in color when heating like the coil top stoves do.

I loved your video with instant omni plus 11-in-1 toaster oven & air fryer rotisserie chicken; I'm almost sold on getting one. But I've seen so many reviews like "Unbelievably toxic smell" and "horrible smells like burning plastic"...have you had that experience?

I have the Omni (not the plus because the Plus uses the bottom burners during roast and I prefer the original Omni that does not use the bottom burners during roast so that I can put foil down and not have the mess that he did) and I don't have any smell at all. It is my favorite thing in my kitchen. Lol Use it all the time.

I have the Omni plus and I haven’t encountered a plastic smell or any funky smell. It’s a great addition especially if you have kids and need to cut cooking time down

Question: You used a 4 pound chicken. Can you go higher in weight? I looked at the manual and there was no pound limit.

I have pulled off a six pounder but it had to be tied down pretty tight

3 very important steps you need to pls share. 1, trussing large chik to fit Omni. 2, how did you balance chik for even rotation speed? 3, pls close up of securing chik cavity on tines.

Here is a really good, but long, tutorial on rotisserie cooking larger chickens. Essentially you remove the leg quarters, then truss the bird. The leg quarters are then cooked at the bottom of the oven. Cooking birds/roasts that are heavier than 4lbs can ruin the motor or can break the rotisserie rod housing.
