Atkinson is amazing, it's not just the lines, it's the delivery.

In an interview he explained that he used to stutter and to avoid that he almost overacted the accentuation. It helped him to overcome the problem and shape his style.

'... never had the faintest idea what hit him!' It's his intonation which makes this already great sketch superb:) Rowan is a god of comedy, so much more than just Mr. Bean.

Some of the funniest ppl on the planet are those with a true sense of morbidity. Imagine Atkinson could get at least a small chuckle out of most facing a firing squad just by his manner of asking them the questions concerning a final cigarette and a blindfold

... and the Holy Goat (instead of Ghost of course). As the nervous novice vicar on 3 Weddings and a Funeral. If this famous Tom, Dick and Harry monologue is a live first take to an audience, the sheer perfection of nuances and being word and inflection perfect, and clearly not having an autocue is stunning. His delivery is of course the result of years of being a superb comedian and as he is first to admit, superb writers.
