"Not punched our weight for 50 years" according to Mr Martin .... do fans agree with Mr Martin, cos I don't?? What about Italia 90 and Euro 96 - in both cases we battered Germany in the Semis ... and played like lions, I thought ... and we we good after a slow start in 1998 at the World Cup ..... What was the common factor .... umm ... well three better, fairly exceptional managers??

It doesn't really feel the same if the manager isn't English, i think everyone will feel less proud of future results if the mastermind is from another country.

England has always have great players, but the managers, I mean english managers were never good enough. like in the premier league, the top table had been for far too long dominated by clubs managed by non english. it proves that english managers hardly win things, compare to italian, spanish, or german managers. so from my point of view, this has to be one of the case.

England needs a manager like Italian, Atletico Madrids coach, who are emotional and put hope and give the players emotional support, not the ones, who sit and watch how evreything falls apart - sry if my English isn't the greatest

We'd like to thank Roy!? Three wins in eleven tournament games, two of which came as 'England were in transition'. The team's got worse not better.
