To be honest, I hate showcase because we're forced fight a certain way ( A precise way) and we're not allowed to fight freely....That and The Royal Rumble made me hate this mode even more

I feel like they should try this mode again next year except 1. Have 40 matches 2. No Tech cutscenes 3. Add commentary and entrances 4. 4 to 5 objectives no tedious ones 5. Have the most iconic matches or have the same exact matches as 2K14

I think the problem with showcase is development time. As video games advance so does the work. And 9 months is simply not enough time to put out a proper showcase. If they extend the development time to 2 years then I think that'll fix the problem.

I only brought this game for one reason only and that was to play as The Fiend, aside from the showcase and the soundtrack, this is the best wrestling game since 2k14, can't wait to see what 2k does with the series going forward.

You really nailed it, the dumb music, boring objectives, no entrance, no commentary, but most of all the totally unnecessary slingshot (especially since half of it is blurred out anyway). They really need to change it up, either take notes from WWE 13 or the early 2K games, or either totally get rid of that mode and introduce something new.

2k if you want to include showcase in the games add interesting matches on the list, condense the objectives down and no slingshot tech it ruins KZfaqrs playthroughs of the game. The real footage scenes blur a Lot of stuff recreate the scenes in game cutscenes just need animating and archive audio.

I can understand it from both sides. On one end, I can understand that they're trying to reenact the actual events that happened in certain matches and they want to get people to use more controls. At the same time, I wish it wasn't so tedious and frustrating, along with letting us actually do the great moments that keep us into the game. But yeah, they really need to fix up their Showcase Mode or they can just get rid of it and bring Back "Road to WrestleMania."

The entire mode has *always* been a lazy cop out. Up until these fuckers started forcing us to play the mode to unlock things rather than allowing the accelerator to do so, as it always had, I refused to touch a single match of showcase in any of these games. Zero interest whatsoever in a history lesson mode for matches I could better enjoy on the WWE network. This entire mode needs to go.

What bothers me most is the lack of iconic matches. Why does Kurt Angle get 2 matches yet the only Cena match we get is from 2020?? Here’s a list of some matches that I think should’ve been in here: - Rock v Hogan - Rock v Austin 3 - Batista v HHH - Cena v HHH - Cena v HBK - Batista v Undertaker - Orton v Cena v HHH - Undertaker v HHH 2 - CENA V ROCK!?! - Bryan v Orton v Batista I can’t think of any good reason why any of these matches weren’t featured but Kurt Angle gets 2 matches and Bianca v Asuka was featured like cmon. The fact that you only get one Undertaker match, no prime Cena match, no Rock match, no HHH match and no HBK match makes this insanely disappointing.

The 2K15 video packages were so good, they were wwe ppv video package levels of quality. The commentary is also sorely missed, they even used to do cool little things like having commentary for what happened last week before the match you're playing while showing a clip of it.

Honestly it makes me fucking angry om how bad this game is it just makes me think why I pay every year for the same boring ass game with the same graphics of a updated ps2 modles the game combos are shit they don't work and the fucking showcase how tf did they ruin it? Showcase mode used to be fun back then, until 2K decided to make it a ABSOLUTE CHORE to play. All i want is a fun showcase mode like the older 2K games, its gotten to a point where i don't even want to play showcase mode.

My only excuse for any missing features from these yearly releases is that they simply don't get enough development time 1 year is barely enough to do everything.

It's so exhausting and boring I've been limiting myself to doing a showcase match only 1 to 2 times a week just to maintain my sanity. Even then I still don't look forward to the chore of having to play it. Doesn't help that I'm stubborn and refuse to turn down the difficulty, but that one's on me 100 percent.

When i first saw the trailer for 40 years of wrestlemania i was excited and i tried everything i can to try and play 2k14 version of it i played it on an emulator and it was the greatest showcase I've played and i played them all except wwe 13 yesterday i played 2k24 showcase and i got bored as soon as i heard the generic music

It’s the only one that isn’t tedious Also how was Triple H VS Undertaker Mania 28 not on there, that’s just criminal. But we had to get Bianca VS Asuka there because cover star.

My problem with 2k24 showcase mode is that most of the matches where In wwe old school, me as a kid I was never interested in hulk hogan and Ricky steineboat , or any of wwf version era so I was kinda disappointed of this year showcase for example George the animal steel I had no idea who this guys was

100% agreed with every word you spoke. In my case, the story mode is what keeps me buying these games. This year I was so hyped because of the 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase Mode, specially after the great 30 Years of WrestleMania from a decade ago. But when I heard we were getting just 21 matches out of 39 'Manias, I got depressed. And a few of them got two matches, which means, those 21 matches are not even from 21 different WrestleManias. I also HATE with all my soul the clips from the WWE Network. Like, 2K is too lazy to recreate those iconic moments with in-game animations. They just download clips from the Network and add them. It feels really dumb because they have to blur the WWF logos, referees' faces and sponsors. It looks so ugly. The objecrives are a joke. Do I have to do an Irish Whip to the northwest corner? Why? Just put the "Deal critical damage" task and that's it. It's even easier for them. I've seen people saying that there are only 21 matches because they have to add the clips from the Network (?). It's waaaay easier doing that than adding cutscenes like they did on WWE 2K14, and this game had multiple matches per WrestleMania, adding at least one match per edition. I think they are extremely lazy to create every WrestleMania arena plus the alternative attires from every wrestler. Anyway, I hope they improve this mode these upcoming years.

Honestly what was the last good WWE 2K video game? Because the last WWE 2K video game I bought was WWE 2K16 ever since then I given up on WWE 2K because it's basically the same video game each and every year just with an updated WWE Roster.

It's 12 matches too many in my opinion. The only reason I even play this BS mode are to get the Showcase unlockables, which they have locked behind this mode because they brute force players like me who just want to do Universe and Exhibition to play it. They hold this mode in that high regard, huh? If there is a gnat's chance in hell of anyone in 2K worth a damn, this mode almost single-handedly made me ask for a refund. Busted objectives, being forced into a stagnant, tedious list of bullet points. Against a AI that on anything but Easy(and sometimes even on)trying their damndest to make it as miserable as possible. Matches that go way over their welcome time with NO checkpoints. So if I have a 20-minute match with Andre and lose because he reversed all my attempts to not only beat him, but because I had to do the freaking grocery list in the process, I start from square one? That's unbelievably cynical to expect that out of your players.

I don’t like how there is only 21 matches and how they skipped many wrestle-manias even tho it’s supposed to celebrate the last 40 years. Idk I just set the difficulty on easy and finish the match in like 5 minutes. Also I think slingshot tech is a good idea if executed properly. I personally don’t mind when it switches to real life. I do mind tho when like you said, they show macho man giving hulk hogan a headlock for 4-5 minutes. If they only showed the most iconic moments of the match in real life than it might work better. The main complaint I have is the fact that they put the most focus on my faction. I’ve personally never really liked that mode

I agree 100% & I'd go a step more. This is just a terrible game overall. I wasted $100.00 on this slop & the ONLY slightly redeeming qualities are the graphics & the roster. GM Mode & MyFaction always suck. MyRise has cringe, terrible voice work. Showcase is 100% disappointing. You have a laundry list of tedious tasks to accomplish. It's glitchy (for example, Bret Hart VS Steve Austin, through the entire match Austin was in the red, he always got up faster than Bret.) I've been buying these WWE games for 20+ years, 2K24 will likely be the last one I buy. Stay away from it, it's bad.

2k15 had the best showcase imo

agree about the tedious objectives but I liked the real life footage mixed with the gameplay. brought me back to childhood during some of these moments. Dumb nitpick i noticed is the crowd, they could’ve put more effort in the crowd models during showcase mode. I feel like i shouldn’t be seeing people with Usos and roman reigns t shirts in the crowd while playing Hogan vs Andre lol very dumb complaint but was a glaring observation for me.

One of the issues with the showcase mode is the change of control. A lot of us knew this would happen once they changed the controls to a combat Tekken/Mortal Kombat like game. And don't get me started on the momentary in-game cutscenes. Laziness on another level 😒
