o-rings are the obvious answer, maybe the one on the pellet pusher and the one in the pressure assisted valve cylinder. Other than that, maybe a spare pressure assisted valve... This is not something that I needed to replace so far but it is just my estimation.

@@raincloud1898 Most PCP are recommended to be stored under pressure. There is no danger and if all seals are working properly, they should hold the pressure for "indefinitely" long.

This is one way valve and yes, it is OK to remove it. It is there primarily to allow you to remove the bottle and still have pressure in the plenum. It is generally not needed, especially in the P2 since it does not have tethered shooting option anymore. It is now only useful if you have the regular version of P2 and if you want to remove the bottle and still have the air in the bottle as well as in the gun. The performance version (adjustable reg.) does not have the one way valve in the bottle so if you do this, then the air will vent from the bottle so this valve in the gun does not make any sense anymore...

I have used these kind of valves for many years now and RTI also tested this valve for one year before releasing P2. The stiction is not an issue as the opening of the valve is in the direction the pressure is pushing the valve anyway. This also means that the o-ring is not prone to wear as the first move of the valve (when the o-ring is under max differential pressure) is always on the direction where the pressure forcing it anyway. This goes for opening as well as closing the valve. BTW: the double o-ring is a terrible idea for virtually any application. All the force/stress is on the first o-ring anyway, so the 2nd o-ring is redundant anyway but in a case where 1st one o-ring leaks a bit of air during the pressure change and the 2nd one holds it, then you can get trapped pressure between the o-rings and then you really have problems with stiction. I even do not like double o-rings for applications with stationary parts such as cylinder end caps as this trapped pressure can also happen there and you can have problems when you want to disassemble that part and you need to use brutal amount of force...

What you say seems reasonable but would you upload a few close-up pictures of the balanced valve so we can better see what you have said? I'm sure many out there would be extremely interested in coming to a conclusion about this rifle. Perhaps even modifying this video a small amount showing a good quality close-up of the valve and rotating VERY slowly so we are able to visualize the RTI valve. Having problems with that valve in such a position would drive the user absolutely nuts to need dismantling the rifle to that degree for a simple leaky/torn o-ring. Thanks.

There are many of my videos already explaining the operation of this valve as I have modified most of my ariguns with this kind of valve (Daystate, ShinSung, Edgun R5). The purpose of those two videos are not to explain how the valve operates but rather the full assembly and disassembly of the gun.

@@gregorkamensek3923 I've seen you show brief descriptions of this valve but we were hoping that you might do a well detailed version of this valve showing nice close-ups of how the valve is constructed. That would make us consider this rifle as no one likes PCP's that leak. Hope you understand 🙂

Not really, at lease not in my case. What probably would work is to put it in a vice with rubber grips...

@@wsd4095 Uf, trust me, there is not a vice on the world that would distort this tube :) This tube is steel with outer wall of about 10 mm and inner of about 4 mm (I don't know the exact measurements from my head), This means that it has wall thickens of about 3 mm! You will not distort the tube, even if you use steel to steel contact (without rubber). Definitely no worries there.

Shot count would be the same, only more power but you don't really need it for .22 cal...

The purpose is to be able to replace the bottle without draining the plenum. You can put it out, if you like, there will be no downsides except that you will loose the air in the plenum if you remove the bottle...

In terms of adjustability, what is written on the web page is the upper limit that can be achieved with relative ease and still have a decent shot count. You can however make mods to the valve (reduce the size of the hole in it) so it stays open longer and you will increase the power even further.

Hi. I assume that the issue is because the you have the 1st stage too short and when you start pulling the trigger, the 2 stage comes before the safety has a chance to engage. What you need to do is remove the right panel and adjust the trigger road a few revolutions outwards (turn it counter clockwise). This will make the first stage longer...

LOL, actually, I struggle with my memory all my life, I forget names, dates,... But when it comes to mechanical/electrical or general physics, I somehow manage although not by memory but by association... Anyway, most of those screws are different and would not fit if I picked up the wrong one...

Yes, it does. Mine does not have it yet because it is not the final production version. That o-ring is not that important it just prevents a very small air blowby when you take the shot...

@@gregorkamensek3923 Thank you so much.. I can tell you if you try to put it on the screw it is darn near impossible to get it started. I just push it down to the bottom of the hole and then put the screw in on top of it..

I don't own an Impact so I cannot say. P2 has been 100% reliable for me till now.

Hi. A little more information would be helpful. Did this happen all at once (one day it was working and the second it wasn't anymore). Is it performance model or standard? Do you know the regulated pressure? It could be valve lock if the pressure was much too high or if the hammer spring is too weak... What does the click sound like? Does the hammer move (i assume it does)...

You are talking bout the one way wall in the connecting hose, right? Yes, absolutely, you can remove it...

The standard version of Prophet/Priest do not have adjustable power setting. For that, you would need the Performance version. You have two options: you can get the adjustable regulator and the adjustable but plate for your gun or you can make mods, but these mods are quite complex...

Hi. It is quite hard to know what is the problem based on that description. If you have some hand-on knowledge, you can try to find the leak your self and replace the o-ring that is causing it; if not, you can get it to servise shop...

@@gregorkamensek3923 If I put soap water on the regulator you can see a few small bubbles. The pressure isn't really decreasing, it's really minimal.

@@raphaelgausterer9460 You can degas the gun and replace the o-ring where the leak is. You can store the gun at any operating pressure (anywhere between the regulator pressure and max bottle pressure 300 bars). In reality, I prefer to store my guns at about 200 bars, simply that in case if there is a regulator failure, the pressure in the plenum will not exceed the current fill.

Yes, you can continue shooting without problems below the regulator pressure.

Shure is you consider roughly 0,2 cubic centimeters as a waste :) On a serious note, this volume is negligible, the upsides of the valve outweigh the downside by orders of magnitude and you end up using less air for same energy output. These upsides are that the valve opens extremely fast, is then opened for a period of time and then closes also very fast. This gives almost square (discreet) function of the valve. The regular valve has more of a sine function (1st half of the period) and because of this, it limits the air flow in the beginning as well as in the end. This is also a waste of air, especially in the end where there is still air leaking in the barrel but this air does not contribute to the projectile velocity.

Hm, I have no idea. I cannot say just based on those information. Check if something is blocking the hammer from going fully back. Also check that the trigger mechanism is full functioning. You can remove the but pad plate and take out the hammer and when you reinsert it, you should need to pull the trigger in order for the hammer to go fully forward...

Gregor, I managed to hit the joke, after looking at your rabbit and not seeing anything strange, I looked at the other side at the tab that the hammer rotates. The threaded rod has an Allen screw that serves as a locknut for the threaded rod. It was about three millimeters away. Lazy, what a joy because I'm terrified of messing with the PCP, thanks for your interest. Have you tried the redesigned ones with 28.55 gains? The rod that goes through the socket that drives the hammer has an allen screw that acts as a lock nut. It was loose. It came out about 3 mm. It didn't let it. The action will go to the end, thank you for your interest.
