I can also tell you all that Saints And Sinners plays well at Ultra settings and BONELAB with 75 mods also works well at the high preset

Thank you for being the first for me to post a video with VR benchmarks of general games that would be commonly played. This solidifies that I dont need to go the extra money for a 4080 when I dont really need it (1440p gamer outside of vr).

I've been trying to find this info for months! I'm currently going back and forth between the 7900xt and the 4070. My wife runs a 7900xt and has noticed no issues in vr....but...I'm looking to play games like assetto corsa..so I want to make sure there isn't any sort of juddering/artifacting/etc. Would love to see a head to head comparison!!

Resolution was 2064 x 2096 per eye or 4128 x 2096 total for every game

Try vrchat in a really populated lobby and see how that runs, I have a 1070 and I get like 24-32 fps in the great pug with like 30+ people with a lot of protection settings

Can you make a video with No man's sky and Elite Dangerous. Specially No MAn's sky is very gpu demending on Vr.

Thanks, I had to relocate a 3080 and I don't really have the need for a powerful GPU, but the 4070ti would do. I"m also excited for AV1 and what that means for streaming via virtual desktop or airlink on the Quest 3. I think this has the potential to be a noteworthy improvement.

@@christofc401 I'm not able to post links, but do a quick google search on AV1 codec, review some quality comparisons of h.264 vs h.265 nvenc versus AV1. These are compression enCOders and DECoders (CODEC) that are responsible for taking your PCVR game video, compressing it and streaming it to your Quest. Your Quest has to decode and display. AV1 is not available on last gen video cards, but is on nVidia 4000 and AMD 7000 gpus. Quest 3 will also support AV1. In terms of PCVR on standalone headsets, this could mark a jump in visual quality.

@@christofc401 AV 1 is an encoding software. It can basically send information more accurately and quicker than the previous h264 and h265.

Do you think 4070ti with a ryzen 7600x could run similarly to this? It'll be my first desktop build. I'm coming from a 1660ti mobile from 2019. I get people consider other cards a better deal. But I don't care too much I've been gaming at 1080p on flat. And had the privilege of vr but not as great as this lol

Oh yeah, I bet it would be very similar. I've done a ton of research on CPUs and PC parts in general, and it looks like as long as there isn't a bottleneck, which there won't be, it will play basically the same. I also play on 1080p flat, and it's great.

I just purchased my first pc the NZXT player three witch has the 4070ti and the i7-13700KF and I was wonder if you think that could run pcvr. Lots of people tell me you need a super good pc to play pcvr games but none of them do play them so I wanted to ask someone who dose. Is this good and could ti run half-life

You won't be running at maxed out resolution/specs (depending on the game and which headset you get), but yes you'll be fine. I'm running most VR games perfectly well on my 13600k with an RTX 2070 non-super. Half-Life Alyx is especially well optimized, so it runs better than most.

I tried the FUS Skyrim modpack, but it only worked for a little bit, and no, I have not tried Left 4 Dead VR.

I'll try, but I can tell you the power draw was probably around 650 watts for the whole system.

@@lemonaidd Okay, just wondering since you weren't maxed out on any game, since it's capped to 90fps (which is good). if you ever do a modded SkyrimVR (wabbajack makes it easy) I'd love to see that (there is also a DLSS mod)

I tested it in vr with like 10-15 ai cars and its great like in vr you could go to 120hz if you wanted
