The Predator is going to be 22" when they come out, the Hunter models may be in a few different lengths, and there is a possibility of an American LRT for those who want a Target rifle with a longer barrel but that last one is just hearsay that I got from a product manager.

I like the ruger. But savage has had the high country long before this. Not only do they have the barrel fluted,, but the bolt is fluted as well. The stock on the savage is made very much stronger. All good rifles. But savage has had that design awhile ago already

Looking at this gun for the future, I'm eyeing the Savage High Country as well. I like the adjustable stock for comb height.

So were you able to determine what was the actual barrel length.?

It's slightly less than 20 inches. How much is debatable.

On your SH4J mount Did you go with the low med or high mount? You got the setup I want!

I have the low rings from arken. The scope is very close to the rail and the button that sticks out on the bottom of the scope under the parallax adjustment must fall between two of the landings of the rail or you won't be able to level it.

I just bought a Savage 110 Trail Hunter because I couldn't pass up on it for the price, but the heavy barrel they throw on those things makes them front heavy, something I didn't find a problem with the RA Predator model. How does the Gen 2 feel in the hand as far as weight and balance? Thanks for the info, happy shooting.

Very similar in weight. The Gen 2 is 1 Oz lighter
