Russian soldier surrenders after Ukraine drone destroys trench with grenades near Bakhmut

A Russian soldier tried to surrender to a drone as Ukraine attacked his trench. Footage of Ukraine’s 30th Brigade showed the attack to the north of Bakhmut. A captured Russian tank was used to blast apart the enemy trenches. Before an armoured vehicle took Ukrainian soldiers in to finish the job. Soldiers lobbed grenades before charging into the Russian defences. Russian troops attempted to flee but were spotted by drones. They dropped grenades on the fleeing men, leaving one of them injured. He attempted to surrender to the drone, while bandaging his leg. Ukrainian troops are advancing to the south of Bakhmut. They have recently captured the towns of Andriivka and Klishchiivka. Heavy fighting is also ongoing to the north of the city. Ukraine is trying to surround Bakhmut so they can recapture it.

I had been watching this post and quite a few other very similar authentic combat videos for a solid 30/40 minutes without a hint of recognition for the horror and brutality of the life torn from all these people not unlike their bodies as they are torn apart. I feel ashamed. I extend my truthful apologies to all the people I watched die regardless of country, culture or creed. May you and those who mourn for you be at peace.

@@Kev.sgz1 I never said they didn‘t. But saying all the time that everything is russia‘s fault is in fact not right. Example: The whole west said russia exploded the nordstream pipelines, research shows the Ukrainian did it. Or just the fact that NATO is just trying to suffocate russia with placing NATO and US military bases as close as possible to russia’s border, as well as closing all (year-round) accessible maritime areas with controlled choke-points shows that it is a long lasting problem conducted mainly from the US (disguised as NATO). I’m not pro-russian whether pro-ukrainian. I’m just saying that both sides did crimes and are still doing it. And with western media being one-sided in this case makes us think that russia is the only problem. There are always at least two in a conflict and with this monstrosity of a mess we certainly all know that there are more than two nations involved.

remember when the truth-haters in movies told you that grenades have a kill radius of 10-15 meter? Well he was standing 1 meter away and most likely only his leg is wounded.

You don't know how many other wounds he had, or how many his armor saved him from. And the 10-15 mtr range is where the pieces of shrapnel are likely to be deadly out to. No one ever claimed it kills everyone out to that distance.

it debends on model. That old one can kill human over 25m if that has bad luck. Most have smaller shrapbell, some balls to cover very well close range and there is also plastic ones to reduced range. It is you that denys reality here. That is deadly and mean explosive and made for that purpose. You can forget your Hollwood reality.

In this case, he was lucky to survive. I think the surface of the ground is not flat. If the grenade fall into a little hole or behind a pile of soil its destructive will reduce dramatically.
