Ukrainian soldiers storm Russian-held 'Cyclops' trench in terrifying assault footage near Bakhmut: The K2 Battalion ( / @k2_bat ) of the 54th Mechanised Brigade posted this video of their infantry assault on a Russian trench called 'Cyclops' near the city of Bakhmut. An earlier part of the video shows Russian troops being bombarded by artillery. In this video posted in April Ukrainian drone pilots drop bombs on the trench before infantry launch an assault. The fighting is believed to have taken place earlier this year, before Ukrainian forces lost much of the city.

Когда чужую землю пытается захватить враг.Который имеет превосходство в пехоте примерно потенциальный ресурс мобилизации 37 миллионов солдат. Перевес в артиллерии которая в первые 8 месяцев делала 60-70 тысяч выстрелов артиллерии в сутки против защитников которые из за отсутствия боеприпасов делают 4-6 тысяч выстрелов в ответ,имея боевой флот.У защитников боевого флота нет,агрессор имел вначале перевес в авиации в 37 раз больше чем защитники боевые машины пехоты и танки в в 74 раза больше системы залпового огня в 116 раз больше,ракеты дальнего действия тотальное преимущество у защитников такого оружия нет.Это не конфликт это война.Не нужно называть очевидные вещи словами которые смягчают всю суть происходящего.

But equally I can understand why some did, how could a greater atrocity ever happen than what the world just witnessed. I don't think any government involved in WWI, as a whole, actually believed that would be the last though. Though I don't think any of them foresaw the conditions they put into place that would spark it's sequel. I don't think their deaths were in vain though, for they helped shape the world into what it is. Is it a great place? Depends. Could it be worse, oh yeah, it could be so much worse.

Well, it used to exist only in letters and photos sent home. Now it's IN OUR FACES and inescapable. So very many of us don't want this. Here is to hoping it helps end the conflict faster. They STILL haven't figured out we are translating all of their personal texts and phone calls, that's just embarrassing. Did they NOT realize we could DO that? Lesson: Don't chat on cell phones during the war, telling your friends and family members all your plans...I believe they call it "Loose Lips Sink Ships" a long time ago.

Slaves are not used to think. In case of rejecting to be mobilized Russian may spend up to 5 years in the prison. Even if Russia will exist in 5 years - does it worth to spend a time in the prison instead of that trench? at 6:05, right before the drone camera pans away, the Russian soldier in the trench (previously shot by the soldier on the left side on the high ground) suddenly moves and gets another volley from the soldier leading the trench party. Agreed. Ive been saying asking that myself. Tanks and armor out in the middle of no where, farm fields. Not sure that a tank is meant to hold or defend wheat fields. They usually are blown to pieces, anyways, You would think the lessons learned book would be 3 ft thick for orcs by now, but apparently no one is taking notes.

Look at the actual position of the trench, behind theres woods, hard for stuff to come in otherside is a massive hill where they have overlook. Its not the greatest position but in a frontline it makes sence, things arent often by the book especially with russians. And probably one of the most crucial part at this point it has a railway to the side of it, whoever controls it could theoreticly get supplied by it or disrupte their supply, (but tbh using a train that close to the front is suicide so theres that).

More similar to WW2. Outside of Germans quick early year blitzkrieg victories WW2 was fought in defensive trenches and bunkers spread out similar to this. WW1 is defined by trench warfare but a different style. WW1 was just mass infantry millions of men concentrated in line warfare.

@@Don_ECHOguy well it is the Russian way of fighting, since they have so much manpower to throw around they put down units of poorly trained and equiped men to make enemy "waste" their ammo and to give their positions away to the more highly trained units. If you play Warhammer, it's literally how Skaven (A Rat race) plays.

Ukrainian to the top left in the video enters the trenches and launches a grenade towards the foxhole and takes a round to the head when retreating to cover. Another Ukrainian soldier pushes right and knocks down a Russo with what looks to be a headshot. But they didn’t push the man to see if he was dead and he ends up living to fight another day. War is hell

The zig zag trench shape was tested on a US TV show. They proved it was highly effective in reducing casualties. The right angle changes in trench cuts prevent pressure waves from killing soldiers outside of the trench that had an explosion in it.

One side made a giant earth ditch puzzle and the other side blew them out. It looks unreal although I know it is. I said the footage was insane. Maybe mind blowing would have been a better word idk. If they got any closer with their camera footage, we could have seen faces.

These trenches don't seem to be working out all that well. All I ever see is guys walking right up to them while the guys in them hunker down and wait to be executed. You never see bodies lined up outside of the trenches from trying to attack. In this video, what's the point of holding an elevated position if you're just gonna dig down into it? Then it's even harder to know if enemies are approaching

Russia is all talk. now russian partisan's are hitting Putin rear..Putin is Kaput. He can't even protect the Kremlin from drones strikes..those drone flew in from western Moscow not the south east. so they were also launch from deep inside of Russian not the Ukraine.
