@telebubba5527 3 ай бұрын
@@mikatimonen5449 Because he was being blackmailed by Putin. The EU was offering a trade deal and he didn't like that, because it included the development of Ukrainian oil and gas. Ukraine had always been dependent on Russian gas and oil and that would have made them independent from the cut-offs that Russia constantly inflicted upon them. It would have also made Europe less dependent on Russian oil and gas, which was another reason for Putin not to like the deal. He tried to entice Ukraine with a counter deal. But that was nothing in comparison to the EU deal. The president you are talking about was Yanukovich, who was chosen on the fact that he would seal the deal with the EU. At the last minute he pulled away from it and then the protests started, which ultimately led to the Revolution of Dignity (in other words known as the Maidan Revolution). Russian 'Green Men' suddenly appeared and shot about 100 protesters. At this point Yanukovich had lost the 'game' and at the next parliamental gathering he was voted out by his own party. He himself understood just before that meeting what was about to happen and he fled to Russia to avoid justice. A couple of months later Russia invaded with sneaky means Crimea and the Donbas and started the war. Both areas only wanted more self rule withing the sovereignty of Ukraine. The had absolutely no plan in either total independence or 'Anschluss' with Russia and actually that is still the case today, despite that a lot of people have left the area. Russia doesn't need their resources, it has more than enough by itself. So the only future for them is to become a sordid backwater with no future at all.

No. It's not incredible. I lived in a former Soviet colony for 2 yrs. What I saw and heard there humbled me forever. Natives lived like slaves, tied up to their little patch of space. It was harder for those born in province to move to a larger city, or to the capital of the country, than it is for a foreigner to immigrate to USA. I had to go to a police precinct to pay a fine for a guy who stopped in the street to answer my question for directions. A cop materialized out of nowhere and dragged the guy to jail because he talked to me. I have stories to fill 2 thick books. And I'm forever grateful now that I was lucky to be born into a free country where people are spoiled and don't realize how fortunate they are. Hope you'll never experience that 'incredible'.

The war is depressing for me as an American. As the cold war fizzled out and prior to the recent decade Russians and Americans were unashamed partners in space exploration. Our countries cooperated in building a space station and helped each other achieve our goals in performing some of the greatest scientific accomplishments in human history. It's awful to see war and destruction has taken over cooperation and progress. We went from sending people to live in space to sending them to die in the dirt.

@@i8Hardcore I don’t know, if your English is good enough! But fact: This is NOT to discuss. This is what he said, and the thausands of videos you saw, if you are honest, are only short or fragments of the hole speech! And the Russian PS worldwide spread this millions of time by Sankt Petersburg Trollfactory! I know what i am talking about. My girlfriend was living close to this factory, very close!! So…. On November 14, Russian Channel One informed in its evening news broadcast that, while officially speaking about peaceful settlement of the Donbas problem, in fact the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was going to strangle Donbas economically and to put Donbas children into cellars. This is not true, and proofs of it were obtained by the Channel One by means of taking Poroshenko’s words out of context and falsely interpreting them from Ukrainian. “When meeting today with law enforcement officials President Poroshenko said that there was only peaceful political settlement of this problem. And today a fragment of his earlier speech in Odesa appeared in Internet. In this speech Poroshenko called Odesa a Banderist city, making the best compliment in his opinion. But there was something more. Here is the settlement of the problem by Kyiv authority back at that time: severe economic pressure of Ukrainian citizens. “We will have jobs, they will not. We will have pensions, they will not. We will have support of children and pensioners, they will not. Our children will go to kindergartens and schools, theirs will be sitting in cellars. Because they do not know anything how to do! That’s how we are going to win this war”, stated Poroshenko”. Such statements are reported by the Channel One. The fragment from this news item was quickly spread around Internet entitled: “Poroshenko: Children from Donbas will be Sitting in Cellars”: But in this case Poroshenko’s words were taken out of context. In his full speech Poroshenko does not say that Ukraine will put residents of Donbas under pressure, but that the occupation of Donbas by pro-Russian militants makes the locals, who have to live without pensions and to hide in cellars, suffer. “This war can’t be won with weapons. Every bullet produces two enemies. And every peaceful day Ukrainian state demonstrates on the liberated territories that citizens, who sang praises to false separatist regime a month ago, receive heat, electricity, at last they can send their children to school, they started to receive pensions, survivorship and disablement payments, they have jobs, they have salaries. “And from the other side - I have spoken by phone with a woman, the associate professor of Taras Shevchenko Luhansk University. I have asked her: “How do you spend your day?” and she has answered me: “I get up at 5 am in order to reserve a place in a queue and to get two pots of water. As we have no water. I return home at 10 am and hurry to a queue for bread. One and a half loaves of bread. Till 12 o’clock there would be no bread. I return from there and stay at home from that moment because armed men start to appear in streets from 2 pm and they could shoot everyone”. “My dear people of Odesa! This is what we avoided thanks to your wisdom, your solidarity. And thanks to - now we all are confident about this - your pro-Ukrainian position. I was full of joy, when after visiting Odesa the delegation of the OSCE made a conclusion that Odesa is a city of harmony, the city of peace. There can’t be a better compliment. I was very happy about it. Thank you for your wisdom, people of Odesa! “And we win together by means of peace! Because we have jobs, and they have not. We have pensions, and they have not. We have support of children and pensioners, they have not. Our children would go to kindergartens and schools, theirs would be sitting in cellars. Because they do not know anything how to do! That’s how we are going to win this war. Because wars are won in minds, and not on the combat fields! They do not know this, but I know. And I have your support, I need it very much in order we win this war without perished Ukrainians, without perished inhabitants of Odesa.” It should be pointed out that Poroshenko speaks about the present situation in Donbas, not about situation possible in future. He describes it using the present tense, not the future one used by Russian journalists in their interpretation of his words. That’s why the Channel One not only took his words out of context, but also falsely interpreted them in order to produce wrong impression as if the President says that the residents of the Donbas will not receive pensions in future.

I am was born speaking Russian and Ukrainian my whole life, just like 50% of Ukrainian population. I am from Kherson. We didn't choose to speak Russian. To everyone, it as a scar of human loss (famines /genocides) and deportations and rusification USSR /Russian Empire expansionism. There was never a single century when Russian empire would not act as an aggressor towards Ukraine. Somehow, Ukrainians healed, adapted by giving up Ukrainian language but not never in their hearts. I have seen all my friends saying how they've cut ties with their close relatives in Russia who rather trust TV , media propaganda of an invisible NATO in Ukraine , nazi, just pretty much any form of Russian Bollywood to justify their political impotence and hidden sense of insecurities. They are still talking in terms of "bother and sister" after mass killings, mass raping, mass tortures, children kidnapping and atter devastation. We live in the information age and it is possible to validate and quality control a lot of information, if one desires. I don't see that Russian masses are ready to question their thinking and feelings. They don't realise that we are all living on the same planet and it is for Ukrainian people to decided which president to select. My wish is for the Russians one day to be able to elect politicians that they like however many generations it will take , until then, Ukraine will have a thick wall along the boarders, weaponised to it's teeth, develop at the cost of frozen Russian assets and ALL Ukrainians will be speaking Ukrainian language as a language of a personal choice. Over 100 years of rusification in Ukraine was just whipped out in one war. Ukrainian men are fighting for the future of their children and grandchildren. They are sacrificing their own lives, as they don't want their children having to go through this hell. Whereas, Russians are fighting to return their past of lost glory - USSR. Question to Russians, with this line of thinking, where do they see themselves in 10 years, 20 years? How many generations will it take in Russia to finally let go of a childish desire to be seen as grand and feared. 🤔 Russians are not only short sighted, they are actually just looking back.

Imagine what would USA do in this situation? Let's say there are millions of americans in Mexico and Mexico would become a puppet country of China. Chinese " advisors" would tell the mexican government what to do. Chinese weapons would arrive in the country. They would start harassing americans and the americans would revolt in Mexico and would ask help from USA. I guess after realizing that it would be a long war with big casualties, USA would use nukes after a few month in order to "save lifes of american soldiers" like against Japan in world war 2. So be happy that Kyiv is still untouched and Russia sacrifice tens of thousands of soldiers instead of solving the situation in 1 day.

What do you mean “if”? Let me give you a quick history: 1500 years ago Slavs migrate from their homeland of modern day Belarus (and surrounding regions). A group of Slavs migrated East and North-East, and became known as the Rus, who intermingled with the Baltic people (vikings). Over the course of a few centuries, they became larger and powerful, eventually conquering Kiev from some Asiatic people roughly 1100 years ago and settling it as their capital. It lasted like this for a few centuries, but then invasions by the mongols broke up the Kievan Rus people into different states. Then, Poland-Lithuania took control of the area and this political division caused further cultural separation between the different people of the Kievan Rus. By around 500-600 years ago is when the cultural differences caused by outside political influence and suppression seem to form distinct people, that we know today as the Russians, Belarusians, and Ukrainians. Therefore, you can see that the Russians and Ukrainians were, for most of their history until modern day, one and the same people. The same, as in the way people from Sicily and Italian, much like people from Venice. It is purely because of outside politics and suppression that caused them to be no longer the same people, but even today they are really similar peoples with really similar cultures. As similar to each other, as maybe the Canadians and Americans. Most Ukrainians understand Russian and many Russians understand Ukrainian, and many people have families that are from both Russia and Ukraine. So, really, they are one and the same people, just separated for a few centuries by the Mongols, Poles, and other people. They are brothers and should be together, but many Ukrainians despise Russians in their hearts because of disgusting propaganda put forth by Western-installed leadership.

Потом диллер решил этому неадеквату ещё и пистолет дать. Старший конечно пытался сказать, что торчку оружие нельзя давать, аж 8 лет это говорил, да только бестолку. Never in my years of stay in luhansk i saw any animosity towards Russia or ukraine by the local community. They were people who were proud to be Ukrainians but with super close ties to russia. Everyone there had some family member in russia, their mother language was Russian. Then maidan changed all. Russian was banned to be used in any government facility. It was stab in back for the donbass people and they rightly retaliated peacefully. But the kiev government sent fighter jets and bombs which was totally absurd. It was a point of no return. The situation what we see today is result of actions of the CIA and EU to establish a pro western government in the center. They placed hardcore nazis in the government who were given a task to spread hatred towrads Russia and anything russian. They created a false nationalist agenda and it completely ruined their country. I have seen how it all started. I saw bombs landing in luhansk central market and dead bodies on ground.

I think Russia had very simple terms , any big country will do same , for example why do u want to oblige people by force to speak ukranian ?? All countries have 2 or more official languages , and why they made a decree to stop any agreements with Russia? Do the people there want that? Do they really want to continue that or it’s just a decision by the “comedian” and the crazy guy from London? It would have been solved in mar 2022

I am not a pro but I can see that they are doing it on purpose to shake up the Russian identifying people in Eastern Ukraine and there was a movement to make a "Ukrainian" nation in the making for a long time and from Russia's ancestral lands. I think I heard that from a professor in history here on youtube. 75% of Ukraine speaks Russian, I wonder where the 25% are? There's been a movement to deny the Russian accent. I say accent because they are the same language basically with a 10% difference in some terms and grammar aspects due to influences by other Slavs.

One thing I've heard multiple times during this video is something like "Let's end the war and become one nation again". Dear Russians, are you insane!? Your troops invaded Ukraine, they killed thousands of civilians, hundreds of thousands had to flee because of you. There are mass graves in which the victims of your armies' savagery are buried in the dozens, if not hundreds, and you have the gall to suggest that Ukraine becomes one with you again!? As long as your country doesn't take any actions to repair the damage it has caused to Ukraine, such suggestions aren't worth the spit lost in uttering these words.

While historical examples of reconciliation between nations are inspiring, the dynamics between Russia and Ukraine are unique, particularly in the age of the internet. Unlike previous conflicts that occurred without the constant reminder of social media and online communication, the internet today serves as a platform that perpetuates and amplifies animosity. Events, propaganda, and misinformation spread rapidly, making it challenging for wounds to heal. Additionally, deep-seated historical grievances, territorial disputes, and ongoing geopolitical tensions exacerbate the situation, further complicating the path to reconciliation. While dialogue and diplomacy are crucial, acknowledging the complexities of the modern digital landscape is essential in understanding why reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine may not follow the same trajectory as other historical conflicts.

Russia was made poor by a dictator and his friends steeling from you every day, putting their money and children in western countries. But they teach you patriotism so that you obey, get angry at others and forget who stole your heart and food and taxes. Europe was like this 100 years ago too … . Guys, they attacked Ukraine after the 2014 revolution as they lost influence on the country and with this billions of euros! Ukraine wanted to be free, and free itself from Russia, like east Germany did, Eastern Europe and the Baltics! No educated person wants to live in this suppressing system! Millions of people freed themselves, and Ukrainians also want this of course! After the revolution in Kiev, Minsk and Moscow would have been next! Revolutions by the people! They knew it and needed to protect their power, stop liberal thoughts, create an enemy and stop any Criticism of the current system. This is not about Ukraine, or “Russophobia”, or nato - it is about them protecting their power and money, and Russians fall for it, repeat stupid stories and die … wake up Russia!
