How to replace a timing belt, and water pump, on an f22, or f23 4 cylinder Accord. This is the same Aisin kit #TKH-006 for some Acura CL, and Odyssey vans with the F engine within these years.

Great video man. Really enjoyable and informative. Wish I had your experience. I have an 01 accord with an F23a1 that has 280k miles and could use some attention to the leaking rear main seal and some likely leaks on the front side of the motor that are cost prohibitive to have a garage repair them. Nonetheless, videos such as yours help further the understanding of those that have no background in auto repair and a great place to learn.

But it still has that hesitation on start up tho."🤷🏻‍♂️ Me: (WTH?🤔) Week later wouldnt start again, poked around for a few days-tune up (needed it), Main relay-nada. Then, paper clipped the odb no flashes on the CEL=DEAD COMPUTER!! Im no mechanic but, I didnt charge myself $450 for a fuel pump I didnt need either!! I just put an identical AISIN kit from RockAuto onto a 2007 Accord. The kit really was excellent, at least as good as the OEM parts on it. To my surprise, the crank bolt was clearly a virgin, despite the fact there were over 200,000 km on the engine. Not a virgin after I was through with it, ha ha. Needed a 3/4 breaker bar with a long cheater pried against an extra jack stand, plus the $20 tool. High mass sockets don't fit into that tool, and a 3/4 air tool was a bust, literally.

I have a question or two do you cut the pointer off the bottom cover for the harmonic balance or because you seem to slip that cover right in there with no problem where mine was nearly breaking the cover to get it in. Second question did everything correct? Everything’s lined up perfectly balance shafts are perfect but I’m still getting a winding sound and some type of noise seems like it’s coming Through the valve cover like some sort of groaning sound. Could my belt be too tight.

What would happen if the oil pump one was off some? now it has a wine like a bad bearing sound in that area
@RustBeltAuto
@RustBeltAuto Жыл бұрын
It is a balance shaft. The oil pump is behind the crank sprocket. Your belt may be too tight or something else.

@@RustBeltAuto i know the front one is a balance shaft then the bottom is crank but the one on the right isthe one making a whine like a bad bearing sound. if that was off when i timed it do you think it damaged it? thats the one i didnt put the bolt in to make sure it was right. just kinda winged it but there is a whine not sure
@RustBeltAuto
@RustBeltAuto Жыл бұрын
Ooh. Those are both balance shafts. You will not damage anything if they are out of time. It can cause a vibration. I have not ever heard of those making noise before.
