Today we’re building a water tower for our rabbit’s automatic watering system! Of course we’re doing it DIY style, using some of our own eastern red cedar logs off our property! This is going to make our automatic watering system even more efficient and simple to use! We hope you enjoy the build video!

That's how homesteaders of the past did things. They used what they had. Keep doing what you're doing, and keep giving God glory.

The water table looks great. Hopefully it gives you the pressure you were looking for. Now if you could just keep them from freezing in the winter. Yes those pencils are great! My husband has always used them and the kids knew they were off limits, lol. Moses is getting big. He looks like he's doing good with his training and is a happy puppy. So glad he is working out for you!

Jacob, I also thought of some sort of shelving over your braces for storage. Plus, the weight on the shelves can help offset being top heavy. Water weighs 8.34 lb per gallon. Each of your buckets weigh 41.7 lb when completely full.

And here I thought it was gonna be a stool for Jason to stand on when he was standing next to Jacob 😂 The bark will also hold moisture. I think it makes sense to do it at an angle like you were and what you said about it using the whole blade. So if Alex at 100lbs was fine, then 12 gallon of water will be fine. 😁 Moses is getting so big. He is such a beautiful pup with his colors and markings God bless you both and keep you safe

Jacob, you're mama raise you right. Never say a woman is heavy or anything similar. I had to remind my 31 year old son this yesterday. He has had a former coworker retire and he ask her is she was staying at home getting fat and sassy. I told him that when talking to a woman never say the word fat.

I like your content. Thanks. I think your rule of thumb for psi is very specific to size of reservoir (how much water pressure behind it), diameter of hose, and flow of the valve. A 500 gallon tank with a 2" pipe running out of the bottom for instance will have waaaay more pressure than a 5 gallon with a skinny 1/4" hose.

Jacob, You seem to be in an area that gets a decent amount of rain. Why don't you put a gutter on your barn, and channel it into a 55 gallon drum on top of that tower you just built? Put the rabbit hose on one side and a spigot on the other so you can use the water for washing up or such as well. Put an angled screen over the barrels intake and you won't get leaves etc., in the barrel. Would save you and the missus from having to fill the buckets.
