a blown out tire doesn'T make the gear collapse. There's also a reason why this landing was filmed. It was most probably a gear malfunction emergency landing.

On Ryanair there's a surcharge for nose wheels. You have to pay extra if you want one.

I dunno... more for show. The way he pulled away meant he was probably tensing up. It's good to have that control in the hover, but you don't want to lose the control at the end of the manoeuvre. Also, so much easier to do with a real cyclic lol.

Agree - Use correct terminology - NLG did not appear to collapse - Could be lost nose wheels/tires and was ground down - Wheels may have been ground down after nose tire failures, although THAT is not suppose to happen - One tire fail should NOT cause additional tire failures.

The blowout was the catalyst for O’Leary taking legal action against the laws of physics in order to recoup the cost of a replacement boot. He’s instructed the R&D department (which consists of his next door neighbour’s cat) to find an alternative to planes needing to land, so that this cost may be avoided in future.

That Citabria looked like he was practicing a short field takeoff. Notice he didn't raise the tail at all as would be the case with a normal takeoff.

They've had accidents but not fatal ones so this is not the first one nor the most severe. Check out Ryanair flight 4102 for example.

The Trent 1000 is a crappy engine on the 787 and it is still substandard regarding its reliability. So far three airlines, ( Al Nippon, Air New Zealand and LATAM ) have switched to GE for their future 787 engines and more will follow this trend.

The Ryanair is a Boeing....BEGIN ANOTHER ANAL PROBE OF BOEING. The F15 video brings back an old memory. I was on a TWA jet waiting to take off for Philadelphia when I looked across to the McDonald Douglas plant and there was an F15 taxiing onto their runway. It screamed down the runway and damn near went vertical, big time wow. The year was 1977.
