A little known location, this apartment has been key to identifying who Bonnie and Clyde are. Their stay came to an abrupt end when law enforcement showed up and a gunfight ensued resulting in the murder of two Joplin police officers. Join the FSP team as they investigate the history and the potential paranormal haunting of the Bonnie and Clyde Joplin Hideout.

Great video! The residents of Joplin seem genuine in preserving the history of Clyde and Bonnie's stay, especially in remembering the officers who were killed. I was also impressed with the comment from the museum director stating that the lives of criminals were over exaggerated. History isn't always pleasant but this town has done a good job showing both sides instead of trying to cover it up. The lady who owned the apartment also seemed like a wonderful person for letting the crew do the investigation.

I know I'm late but i just stumbled on this channel and i have to say I'm now addicted. I love the historical aspect of it all, I've always been into the supernatural since I had my own experience but was too young to realize what I was actually looking at until i got older and it seemed not to stop happening but the way you get into depth with everything and it's not like "ok so we're in the old residence of the infamous bonnie and clyde......and onto evps" makes it all more interesting may God continue to protect you

Really good video. Ive been by the place but nobody was home to show the inside of it. I've driven some of the Old highways they drove and seen some of the places they might have stopped at. I know alot of the back roads they must of used when escaping the law. Wether they did or not remained the question. But the history there in Joplin and else where of where they holed up is interesting. At Atoka Oklahoma there is town and area museum. And in there is a display about Clyde and his brother and a associate probably WD. They went to a dance at Stringtown OK. And a county Deputy spotted them and try to arrest them. Being out gunned by the trio The deputy was shot and injured and later died. Bonnie and Clyde despite the romanticise version of their exploits. Were still nothing more than a bunch killers and thieves. And weren't smart enough to make their money and split for south of the border . They just had to one up the law and make them look like fools. But they paid the price ultimately with their lives.

Very good video - however, they keep running that photo of WD Jones and Bonnie while talking about Clyde. They should identify Jones - there are several other photos of Jones that would imply they are of Clyde in the context they are presented. And - they show of photo of Clyde while talking about Jones. I am sure they understand the difference, but a little editing would fix that.

I was surprised to see the photos of the"Wolfe Manor" and it's demolition at the beginning of this. That place was a literally a prison/hell on Earth for all of the poor souls who were stuck there. You might already know the tragic history - The original owner built it way beyond his means; after his death, the bank forclosed on his widow; then it was purchased and used as an elder care facility, then a TB hospital and then sanitarium for the mentally ill and dying before being shut down under suspicions of abuse and neglect. The current owner bought it and used it every Halloween as a "Haunted House" attraction. He wanted to turn it into a "haunted" B&B, but lacked the funds to pay for the remodeling. He then started letting TV show paranormal groups come in to 'investigate'. Amy Allen told him to stop making a mockery of their last days alive and to hire a supernatural psychologist to help lead them to the other side... He ignored everyone and kept trying to realize his sick dream of keeping hundreds (literally) of souls prisoner at this B&B so he could profit from their pain. Karma is a real b!tch, and the city if Clovis made him tear the dilapidated mansion down in the interest of public safety. A friend of mine told me she was positive the souls all crossed over and we're happy (that's the word she used)! Anyways, thanks for the great videos - and props to you and your team for always being respectful in your videos.

I just started seeing a lot of stuff about Bonnie & Clyde and their enduring legacy. Seems a lot of people actually connected or were fascinated by them, their love, their passion, and their bad behavior after the pics came out. Interesting to see this apartment inside & and an investigation AWESOME! Just adds to their allure. Seems people even somewhat looked over the fact they were responsible for killing up to 13 people including law enforcement but yet I see the attraction too, they were so young rebellious, wild & misbehavin, and Clyde went thru some horrible things of his own doing. Maybe she was channeling Blanche, she ran screaming outta that apartment when all that shooting was happening, crazy stuff

Haunting History should do a story on "The Young Brother's Massacre," in Springfield Missouri. Before 9-11it was the largest loss of law enforcement life in one event. Many people in Springfield, Ash Grove, and Greene County have connections to the officers that lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. On a separate note, Blue Star is a product similar to Luminal, but far superior. I've seen "blood spatter," show up after ten years. We were even successful after "blood spatter evidence," had been bleached.

They did NOT live a glamorous life- they pretty much lived in the woods & drove around all day.Suckie life, but better than being brutally raped in jail at 20 yrs old.Not that I condone what they did, but the cops just didnt play it right. They shouldve ambushed them at 3 or 4 a.m. Too bad there wasnt SWAT back then.Small town cops couldnt deal with that sort of thing.I doubt they (B&C) were smart enough to think that it was a limestone structure so, that bullets wouldnt go through. He just refused to go back to prison to be brutally raped again.Justice system was SO BAD back then! But- the kid was STUPID! PLAIN & SIMPLE! What happened to those cops was absolutely HEARTBREAKING! Just wish the cops were smarter than to take them on like that! Poor Blanche wanted NOTHING to do with this & I think she suffered the MOST! Well, NOT as MUCH as the COPS & THEIR families! So sad! GREAT VIDEO! P S.A bullet hole in the closet? Red light for blood? Terrible choice. Any stain no matter the substance will appear darker in red light. How about a UV light, boss? That's what we professionals (law enforcement) use to find blood stains. 👍 Also, this "investigation" is full of so much confirmational bias and overacting that I have to ask, what are your controls for this sort of thing? What is your sample size, for comparison?

They may have been criminals, but they were American citizens and they had rights under the Constitution. Setting up an ambush and opening fire without any warning went against their rights. And yeah, yeah, I know. They were accused of murder and very well may have been guilty. But that doesn't nullify their rights to a fair trial under the law. And what if the car that came down that road that day had been someone other than Bonnie and Clyde? No doubt the whole thing would have been covered up. Hamer should never have been on the case in the first place because he held a grudge against the pair.

It was sanctioned murder. No due process or trial, no innocence until proven guilty before a jury of their peers. It was a really tragic low point for law enforcement. They were utterly frustrated and fellow officers were being killed. Clyde knew to steal better cars and was a skilled driver; he'd stolen superior weapons and was a crack shot. What you say about positive identification is true - the cops were depending on Hinton, who knew them, to ID them - but the first kill shot was made by Prentiss Oakley, who fired before the command was given - was he sure? It would've happened so fast, what if there had been an innocent in the back seat? As it was, they knew Bonnie was going to be collateral damage as there was no evidence she'd killed anyone or deserved execution, but they did it anyway, then initially told the public that the couple were warned and Clyde was aiming his gun before they fired, which was contemptible. I'm not denying they had to stop Clyde, but this was handled so badly.I've read that the six officers were haunted for the rest of their lives. Good.
