There is a new meaning to this episode now. A man who knew his time was near, but still played a dying character. And for his final role, gave advice not just to a TV character, but to the whole world listening in.

The way these men bonded in this episode. You can so clearly see how they were not bad guys. They just acted the way they did as teenagers due to being brainwashed by Kreese's "no mercy" ways and because they were only teenagers

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Life imitating art. Did Rob Garrison actually know his time was near? That would explain his appearance in contrast to everyone else's. He also gave a legit performance here. His words burn into your heart.

Miguel was the REAL one who got the dojo up and running and getting Johnny to understand kids again to relate to them. I'm not saying Johnny was sitting on his rear but he had no people skills, problem-solving skills, nor technology skills. He also lacked the confidence too in the beginning. At the risk of analyzing more (this show is that good it's worth it), Bobby is the most perturbed by Kreese's return and Cobra Kai's resurrection. Bobby was the kindest of the Cobra Kai gang and was forced by Kreese to injure Daniel unfairly, which caused his disqualification. We all remember him profusely apologizing to Daniel, almost to the point of tears. A deleted scene showed a disgusted Bobby handing over the gi to Kreese and quitting for good. What the audience saw was Johnny and Tommy looking at Kreese in pure disgust after Kreese is clapping when Bobby's disqualification is announced. Bobby tried to save Johnny from Kreese strangling him too.

There is no believable way to redeem him. Besides the man has no reason to change. He probably was abused as a child, and no one cared enough to keep him on the right track. So he hardened his heart so much that no one could get through. In essence he is like Voldemort after he made the horcruxes.

Man what a reunion. Very well thought out in terms of respecting the original. When the music started playing during their motorcycle ride and they had flashbacks from the original Karate Kid film, I really felt the nostalgia and feeling of close friends seeing each other after decades. Also, when Johnny and Bobby high fived during the ride, that was a reference when they high fived in the opening scene of the original film. Glad they gave both Rob Garrison and his character the proper send off. Rip them both.
