@Rick Y, the way he talked in that Yelp review, that's his biggest problem, he complains about every detail about everything, and it's all either super trivial and/or he's being way oversensitive. Super oversensitive yet simultaneously bossy, and nitpicky, just look at his scene with Kreese. Also, there are some people around who don't get that some people aren't going to suddenly go easier on someone sensitive when finding out that they're sensitive

Compare either of these girls being shown as fighters compared to Miguel or Robby, who are actually putting in work as martial artists. Look at any of the training in S1 for the boys and how the girls were expected to show their growth here. Seeing Sam fake slap a punching bag because she's too afraid to break a nail is just what I want to see from female roles. A mock presentation of equality. Hell, most of the girls impressed maneuvers are done by stuntwomen. Maybe they should have played the parts themselves, but just didn't have the looks. So let's be real, this is no different than what Disney is doing or anyone else tbh. Enjoy the pretty eyes and perfect makeup after being in a fight. Spartans. _OK._

@@Krystalmyth it's a tv show and a darn good one in my estimation, but they only have so much time to develop characters and let's face it, the show is centered on masculine characters overcoming their brutality...I think it is great how they have integrated ALL of the women in this show. They are natural characters playing a role in life, not just a man's life but life itself and playing that role well.

The beginning of this episode, for example, shows the two supposedly being aggressively working on the punching bag but their technique is appalling - if "Sam" were to use her hands and fists the way she's shown hitting the bag in any real situation - or even in kumite matches (sparring) - she wouldn't be able to adequately defend herself and she would likely injure her wrists at the minimum. And whilst viewers understand the need for these characters to 'look good' there is no reason nor rhyme to wearing makeup whilst training. Indeed, in almost all martial arts which I have been involved with makeup was not meant to be worn: it blocks one's sweat glands, gets on one's gi (or equivalent depending upon the type of martial art and the 'uniform' used and worn) and the gi of those one trains with, and it's ridiculous to see any female coming out of a sparring match or fight with her makeup miraculously intact and barely a hair out of place. It's a pity that it appears the females in Season 2 had stunt doubles for most of their scenes whilst the males typically did their own work by comparison.
