its not that his leg is healed. the suit actually is like a part of a persona. and they are wearing them. letting them do incredible acrobatics despite never done so before. so when transformed his bad leg gets compensated.

The femur is the hardest bone to break in the body--you have to have intention to break it... But once it breaks it can really fuck that leg up for life.

To be fair, it's never really gotten this bad. With Junpei, it was really only Yukari that talked to him all mean. Yosuke had it worse than the third game, but made it for it by essentially being the leader of the group.

Ryuji says that he's planning on leaving Shujin and finish his high school education at another school closer to a physical therapy clinic to continue to work on his leg.

Ryuji is the only member of the team with a Severe physical injury and he STILL tanked Cendrillion's vorpal blade like it was nothing

Ryuji has the best quality of publicly announcing his phantom thieves involvement and getting them in trouble several times. But I do like how they tried to fix this character in the third semester.

Watch the cutscene for the escape from shido's palace. After Ryuji jumps across the water to get to the other side of the ship he's crouched down. Before he starts running again you can see he punches his right leg. That indicates that he noticed the injury acting up.

I think with Ann,the payback was more personal. Yes,Ryuji had his leg broken,but Ann's friend Shido had to endure being a toy for that pedo. And Ann had to go along with liking that scumbag to secure her spot on the team.

Every phantom thief has their nemesis, and the game's narrative enforces that, everyone got saved, and Kamoshida is considered Ann's enemy, which once again, fair, the physicological damages Kamoshida did on her cant be expressed, but it implies Ryuji doesnt got an enemy? What would be the problem with just making someone be the bad guy of 2 people? Whenever the phantom thieves talk about the obstacles they overcame, Haru brings up Okumura, Makoto brings up Kaneshiro, Yusuke brings Madarame, Ann brings up Kamoshida, and Ryuji... Nobody, almost like he didnt just got a literal permanent injury that will never fully heal and will hurt for the rest of his life, only becoming less hurtful with therapy over the years but still never going away, Im not joking, the femur may be the strongest bone in the body, but the moment it actually breaks, it's VERY serious, firstly because the injury can be lethal if not treated immediately (yup, Kamoshida was about to catch a body directly, *actual homicide* for his list of crimes, no more Skull, if Ryuji hadnt screamed the moment he broke his leg bro would be 6 foot underground rn), and second bc his career is done, that kind of injury can retire someone, the scumbag may have had a change of heart and apologized but Ryuji's dream is as good as gone before it even started Once again, this doesnt mean Ann had it easy, she got fcked up, both had it hard, but the fact that the game just goes "oh dont mind Ryuji, he'll just man up and get over it!" is sad af, specially since Kamoshida didnt actually apologize to him, he confessed to the abuse on the volley team, the sickshit he did to Ann, and the beyond-words he did to Shiho, but the physicological abuse, reputation destruction (which remained in shambles even after Kamoshit was in jail), and the *I cannot stress this enough* attempted murder on Ryuji is not brought up, bro forgor what he did to Ryuji, and its not like Atlus doesnt know how bad it is, they have Ryuji limping the entire game and going to rehab after :/

Yeah, I think Ann is underrated af, both as a party member and as a Phantom Theif, but damn Atlus, couldnt you at least give Ryuji a speech too? My man was a victim too.

@Drip_Wooper Ryuji's suffering would be permanent and physical,due to his limp and inability to run like he used to. Ryuji would have trust issues and a chip on his shoulder. Ann's is more psychological,with her friend being beaten and taken against her will. Ann had her own trauma due to her looks. Japan,on the whole,is pretty homogeneous (people of one race).

if i just pretend that the akihabara rape/drag scene and the post-shido palace scene didn’t happen, i love all the moments that ryuji gets. he’s able to completely recognise when he got too obsessed with popularity, and when he phones protag to apologise for losing his temper. and of course the shido palace moment is probably my favourite moment in the game. then of course him being the first to block cendrillon’s attack was awesome too.

I know what Kamoshida had done to Shiho and Ann is despicable and I'm glad they got their revenge. BUT, what he has done to Mishima or Ryuji is also REALLY despicable and should be highlighted in the story. PLUS, the student ONLY apologized to Ann whereas Ryuji still carries the stigma of assaulting Kamoshida instead of the truth. THAT REALLY PISSED ME OFF. Ryuji deserves something too.

@@GothAngel98 If you provoke someone into hitting you, yes you can get charged with provocation. The person slugging you however still gets charged with assault. Because they still hit you. It's just generally treated as more of a slap on the wrist in that situation. Well, so long as you don't have a history of violence because at that point you need to do something about it. What Kamoshida did in return exceeds self-defense however. Ryuji still got the track team disbanded for roughly a year because he hit Kamoshida. That fact doesn't change because Kamoshida's a walking D, and confessed to his crimes. The reason for disbanding it doesn't stand anymore because it was instigated assault, and that's why you see it reinstated, but everyone on the team still lost the track team for a year. How long did they have to look to find a place to train? Plus how much time and/or money they now had to devote to a trainer. Yeah, Ryuji 'lost' (not really. While the injury is serious, with physical therapy and adaptive training one can actually become an even better runner than before) his future, but he also took everyone else's because with that missing year they won't be able to get scholarship's either. And you want them apologize for being rightfully mad?

Yeah I always thought Ryuji has low speed, high health, Ann has low health, Makoto has balanced stats because she works out regularly and is also studious so she has smarts and Yusuke has low health because he doesn't get enough food.

??? Did u not play the game? Kamoshida physically assaulted him in “self defense” and gave him a basically permanent injury. Not only is he scarred for life (unless physical therapy actually helps later on), but it cost him his future as a track star.
