Look at all these smiling faces, as fate would have it poop was about to defend upon them and ruin their day hahaha.
In this episode we highlight the critically endangered Grey Nurse Shark. One of our favorite toothy friends in the sea.

Hey; question..I'm a few episodes behind... I'm a retired trucker...I found fuel filters for my old Cummins diesel(in my first truck,thus a long time ago ),that had petcocks in the bottom....if I had water in my fuel(happens a lot)(could just be condensation sometimes), I could just drain the water out the bottom of the filter(the water is always going to wind up there). As you have an old diesel, do you have those ?

P.S. WOW- Excellent episode...we saw nurse sharks when we used to dive in the Keys,but not that big. Plus what I hear,the water is getting really shitty down there in Florida. (And the world is getting really shitty on land all over the world as well. Stay out there dude. There's nothing worth coming back to the mainland for.)

At 13:05 was that current making it look like the turtle is being pushed sideways, or is it just camera angle that made it look as such? Being a carnivore I enjoyed the tasty shark steaks when a fishing boat would bring in a blue and sell it to the fish market in so. calif, only once did I get to have a mako steak, that was the most tender ever. Sorry never had a bad tasting one, sadly the fish market/restaurant hasn’t carried shark on the menu for about ten yrs now, hope those that get caught in the fishing nets don’t just get dumped unless they are alive, hate to see or know of an animal just being wasted

I’m not a sailor so I was unfamiliar with the practices of black water disposal. This episode prompted me to read up. Everything I’ve discovered has deeply saddened me. I will not naively blame the small sailing vessels as it is large vessels like cruise ships that are doing most of the damage. But regardless, it’s clear to me that it’s time for a better solution to raw sewage disposal than dumping it directly into the ocean. Have you ever considered marine composting toilets? They’re proven to be more environmentally friendly than even treated black water. Curious about your thoughts. I enjoy the videos and the focus placed upon eco-friendliness. Those that immerse themselves and are fortunate enough to live their lives surrounded by the beauties of Mother Nature owe her an even deeper debt of gratitude.

An infinite number of animals poop in the ocean on a daily basis for millions of years. It is biodegradable and probably food for some sea life.
@subliminalaria
@subliminalaria 2 жыл бұрын
@@pavichapin Animals don’t release huge tanks of concentrated waste in one location. They’re also only eating what already exists in the ocean ecosystem. Your comparison lacks basic scientific considerations.

@@pavichapin Really? Are we talking about the same human race? Humans have historically employed various harmful practices. We’ve hunted various species to the brink of extinction. We’ve introduced invasive species in places they don’t belong. In modern times, our dependence upon fossil fuels and consumption of harmful products continue to damage the planet. Why not ask the hard questions to try to inspire change? I know there are many improvements I can make in my daily life. What about you?
