It's long been upsetting to me that I can make more than teachers. As a secretary (and we all know people consider secretaries/admin/ whatever to be a non skilled/ low tier role). I don't care what region you're working, that's ridiculous. The primary resources of the future generations and their growth and they hey paid 40 to 60k like it's fast food or just a support role. This is why I encourage, at the bare minimum, to appreciate teachers and help them. Also give to them at the holidays or during any teacher appreciation time your district hosts.

People watch trash influencers, then the social media algorithm shows them more trash influencers because that’s what the person is signaling they want to see. If people only clicked on the real world, non scammer, non toxic content, they would see there’s a TON of hard working successful men and women out there.

@utubes720
@utubes720 4 ай бұрын
You can’t base it off “white males”. The same job title can have completely different requirements and skillsets. Geographic region is also a factor, sometimes doubling the salary paid such as San Francisco vs Kentucky.

@@utubes720 getting these jobs isn’t just about skills, it’s about networking. There are HUGE discrepancies in salaries for non-technical roles like account management and program management. I know white tech bros making $300k with bonus for some to the same jobs in this video
@utubes720
@utubes720 4 ай бұрын
@@prima-madalina Think about it. Unless it’s the same company in the same department, it’s a false comparison. Obviously I agree that “Chad and Skipper” on the golf course is where the system fails many people not from that clique. However, it’s insane to compare salaries with “this guy gets paid more money because he’s white”. He MAY (probably) get the promotion or superior mentoring because of it, but not an outright 2x better salary for the same position at same location in same company.

I like that all of these people focussed on tech related jobs that have high demand in the enterprise world from cyber security to AI to ERP to tech sales. They didn't go the standard route of software engineering or product management, which is what everyone and their mom wants to do. Instead they focussed on practical business needs that every company needs around data, AI and just general back office systems processing. It's not as glamorous, but you can still make a nice $150K - $300k salary in 7-10 years. I also like that they are going to conferences and trying to network and make things happen. They are very hard working and practical people. These are the types of role models that Black kids need because they represent a reality that is very achievable with hard work and persistence.
