Not me I love all of Sk movies. My sister was into the bloody stuff like texas chain saw massacre. That was ok we'd watch lot spooky stuff even if it was late and our parents went to sleep. I was the SK fan. I still have christine on vhs.ebay loved me. It would scare our cousins but we'd just laugh when they raned out the room. Now I'm an adult, married with children. I came across grimmlifecollective completely by accident and have to say its one of the best things I've done, I first watched this when I was 8 years old on my own on holiday as it was on British tv. It reminded me of a mixture of the Bela Lugosi Dracula and the even older Nosferatu, the music and the way it was filmed always kept you involved and wanting more. Keep up the great work doing this, I'm working my way through your film location films and completely love what your doing....

I believe it was Richard Kobritz that used the NOSFERATU Barlow because he was tired of seeing the evening-clad Dracula-esque style of vampire depicted in King's novel. He wanted to go behind the facade to project the horrible, malignant, pulsating evil that was the vampire's soul, a humanoid parasite. They couldn't have a better actor than the horribly burn-disfigured Reggie Nalder to fill the role of Kurt Barlow.

I absolutely LOVE the way you approach your topics. Jus a conversation between ordinary-everyday-Joe-and-Jane; just friendly neighbours showing visitors around the neighbourhood like any family member might show their new home. Just splendid! …. And yes, 1970’s horror flicks were not to be beaten!

That siren is for the Ferndale volunteer fire department. It’s so they know to turn the radios on and help an emergency. Depending on how many times the siren goes off depends on what type of emergency it is. I lived in Ferndale from 1992-2003. So happy to see you getting the filming locations. From my moms house you can look out her front window and see the house up on the hill they built. The Marsten house.

My sister and I used to visit our grandmother who lived in Rio Dell during the summer bout 10 miles from Ferndale in the late 60s early 70s and attend the Humboldt County fair in Ferndale, and remember it being a quaint, pretty little town with a kind of Mayberry feel to it. God, those were the days!!

I remember seeing Salem’s Lot in a Clamshell to rent at a Video Store I used to rent at decades ago. I was born in 1972 and I have “soft spot” for 80’s horror movies that I would have to sneak and watch from my parents in the early to mid 80’s. I always will remember as a kid when Video Stores were in their infancy and holding the Original Boxes to the Friday the 13th,Halloween,Nightmare on Elm Street & many Stephen King movies. Y’all are awesome bloggers because I can tell y’all are genuine fans and are so excited to be their with your filming locations are at!

Animals really aren't THAT good of a judge of character. Adolph Hitler had a dog that loved him. I've found that more human monsters dislike animals than the other way around.

One of the best things about your videos, other than the vast amount of research you put into them, which is obvious by the content, is the "look" of them. I have a gorgeous Sony Bravia 4K OLED TV, and the picture quality is outstanding. Beautiful. Another winner! Talk to you this weekend, I trust. Have a great Independence Day. Say hi to Jessica.

What sound is that? It's an old air raid/tsunami/strong storm warning siren. Those would go off every Thursday at 10:00 AM in the San Fernando Valley where I was living at the time in the very early 60's to the early 70's. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 1990's the Civil Defense (CD) began to take them out. To be frank with you, I haven't heard that siren since the 70's! Great video, thumbs up. Keep 'em coming 😀.
