The frizzy to smooth didn't even have frizzy hair. Her hair was wavy, but the wave pattern was intact. I would have rather seen a tutorial about how to grow your hair that long without significant damage to the ends. That's real information we need.

Your answer would likely be genetics. Maybe she’s born with it maybe it’s….no man, she’s born with it. As he has said in multiple videos, most of these women are genetically blessed with great hair. They could do things we wouldn’t dream of and still have nice hair. Regarding the things you can do to have nicer or longer hair; he has multiple videos on the subject. The gist I’m getting from the videos is: 1. Use professional shampoo/conditioner. No more drugstore crap. He has a few he recommends in videos. 2. Wash your hair properly! This means only washing the scalp. This also means probably washing twice. 3. Apply a leave in conditioner and blow dry cream. 4. Heat style no more than every three days! Same goes for washing. The goal depending on your hair type is at the most every third day. 5. Wear a shower cap with a microfiber lining on your non wash days to save your hairstyle. The humidity in the shower will ruin it. Plastic caps do not save you from the humidity. 6. Where a sleep bonnet to protect your hair. I think that’s most of the tips. But there are a plethora of his videos explaining that. Unfortunately, I have not seen one video that lays it all out there. They usually have multiple call backs to other videos. It can also get repetitive because he will mix and match the info given depending on the video. But anyway, those were the things I could remember from the videos I’ve watched.
@lesliewit

@@nenamichelle yeah, I do all that, and I agree that genetics has a lot to do with it. I'd also like to know about the different phases of hair growth. Understanding that about your hair from what I read can lend itself to more efficient and targeted growth process. My real issue is the rank misrepresentation of their hair. There's plenty of fun things that you can do with your hair for the traffic, these people don't have to bait-and-switch all the time

"these days" is an expression that's a red flag for me. Like in the past it was not as common as today to lie, right? I remember all the stupid fake diets ppl used to say worked wonders when I was young (20 years ago). "I lost 65 lb with the artichoke diet". Yea, sure honey! And it was like folk wisdom! Everyone knew about it. And before that, when my mother was young, the same happend. Or further in the past! Eat light coloured food while pregnant so your baby will have fair skin (racism much?), GMO causes cancer, date paste is better than sugar, natural means good...... ALL LIES. It has happend ALWAYS. People LIE. It's an easy way to get 5 min of attention. It's just easier now a days to spot the liers cause everything is more available: the lies and the knowledge. Do you know why do we have access to that knowledge so easily? Yeah, internet, like tiktok! Just be slightly sceptical, check everything you see, learn and develop some judgment. And don't say "these days", pls.

How to get rid of split ends at 5:15 is 100% a valid technique to fix internal damage (in other words, shorter hairs that are splitting at the ends throughout long hair). The technique is called dusting and it's taught at hair salon schools. Frequently this is the ONLY way to achieve long, healthy hair that stays smooth and glossy! Dusting also helps you to grow out your hair so it's healthy without taking length off. VERY little is taken off so it won't keep your hair from growing any more than a short trim of your ends will. It's important for all splits to be removed because they tend to split further up the hair shaft. When my hair was damaged from bleaching my hairdresser regularly dusted my hair until my hair got into better condition, and now I do it myself now and again to maintain healthy long hair!
@LiliS319

Many people like me have most of our split ends on our mids. Reason being that's all the bits that are not getting regularly trimmed by the hairdresser and still being exposed to heat.
@dreambrush7251

yep, the reason why I had a big chop 2-3 years ago was because my entire hair was dry, frizzy and hard to touch, the damage basically traveled all the way up and only the bottom layer of my hair was nice, because that was the only one getting a trim, not the rest of my hair. Now since that chop I do the dusting thing that Chris doesn't recommend and my hair is now super soft to touch lol

I don't use any heat on my hair at all, and it's very, very long (45" last I measured around Christmas time) and I sometimes get splits all the way up near my jaw. Sometimes strands aren't as strong as others and they break, it's perfectly normal. It's really weird to me that two supposed experts in hair don't understand this lol.

@@mydogeatspuke just between you and me in case this gets deleted, chris kinds spreads misinformation. He claims that salon shampoos are the only ones that clean your hair compared to drugstore which is absolutely false. Surfactants, which are the cleaning agent, are the most cheap ingredients and you’ll find it even in 1£ shampoos. Sure it will leave your hair completely stripped of oils and not soft but it will get your hair squeaky clean so I don’t know why he keeps on saying this in every video, that drugstore shampoos won’t clean your hair, that’s not true at all.

@MileinaJuarez
@MileinaJuarez Жыл бұрын
@@Isabella-vx3bc no it’s definitely split ends. My hair dresser was surprised too. But she asked her colleagues and found out, that the regrowth during pregnancy can be very susceptible to split ends, the hair is weaker and splits right in the middle but doesn’t break off. I have very healthy virgin hair. But during pregnancy I got split ends on my regrowth, you can see the split in the ends, it’s not broken off. Shorter hair can have split ends. Otherwise people with short hair couldn’t get split ends but they definitely can. I actually never had split ends before or breakage for that matter. And if you have breakage, you cut it off. Why cut the hair short if only a mid section has problems? Maybe if it’s very bad and too much is affected. But we all have shorter strands anyways in our hair, so why not justiert the hair dresser precisely cut that off ? The goal would still be to cut the ends with problems, no matter if it’s breakage or split ends, getting rid of it with cutting will not make it worse. How? It’s gone, so the problem is gone. And then you treat your hair with good products, preventing the problems in the future. We cut my hair angled in the front, got rid of all the problematic hair and kept my length. Now I use K18 and my hair was never healthier.

I would say the technique of the girl who washed the top of her head was a game changer, because there are days you want to freshen your hair but are still trying to keep from washing all of it. I thought that was pretty clever. Also, for the woman who blowdried her hair instead of straightening it- wasn't that a much better alternative because it's less heat on the hair? I don't think blow-dryers get as hot as straighteners. So, those are both game changers for me! My two cents.

I was sad because I assumed you weren’t in South Florida and looked at the bio and saw Fort Myers for the first time! I’m in the Fort Lauderdale area, but I have family that lives in Fort Myers so I could totally make a trip one day !

The sock works every time and yes, it does look super smooth in the morning. I prefer this method to the silk scarf as i do get annoyed on my forehead. Still important to always use silk/satin pillow case

Regarding the sock hack: I've tried it and the hair does come out looking like in the video. I personally twist the hair before putting it in a sock which makes it come out perfectly wavy in the morning

Bangs are incredibly hard to maintain. They take a lot of work and effort. Just washing your bangs can really help. Bangs can get greasy fast especially in the teen years, and during the summer. I am referring to straight blunt bangs.

My stylist accidentally caused some damage approximately eight months ago I have been using K 18 alternating with olaplex 3 and the deep hair conditioner that you recommend along with leave in conditioner and olaplex hair oil for ends but I see in the video you said not to remove the split ends like what was shown we are doing that or else it looks bad what do you suggest? Thank you all of your information and knowledge that has helped thus far.

I've known people to use dry shampoo on the top to get through an extra day without having to wash, but if you are going to take the time to wash just the top section, it seems like quicker to just get in the shower and wash everything. But I also don't do much to my hair and the most compliments I get are when I have gone too long without washing it.

Can you make a video on products you’d recommend on how to keep colour in your hair? I got my hair permanently dyed pink this weekend for the first time. I don’t know which products to look for. I have fine brown hair that gets oily quickly and my hair dresser told me my hair type wouldn’t benefit much from washing less to keep the colour vibrant. I normally wash my hair daily so needless to say I’d like some advice on what you’d recommend on how to keep the colour vibrant and hair soft. Just want to make it last as long as I can !

Bonnets and scarfs do NOT stay on. I tried wearing them for a long time, and they would actually wake me up as they got caught in my hair and pulled it as they came off. A sock and a scrunchie would likely work better to protect the ends and mid-shaft from damage and actually stay.

The perfect hair is Such a thing. Had a client with a grown out limp inverted bob. Turned it around and gave her a shagged bob. Was doing a quick try with a flat brush before curling and… her hair was perfect. It just fell into place with just a flat brush. I was so jealous.

Hello Chris, thank you for all the amazing and helpful videos on both KZfaq and TikTok, I don’t really know how to reach you but I’ll try here. I know how important leave in conditioner is and I have searched everywhere for the one that you recommended but we don’t have it here in Sweden and it’s all sold out everywhere on the internet… we do have Moroccanoil - all in one leave in conditioner tho, would you recommend that or another from Redken??

Hi! I really enjoy your videos, and I’ve been learning lots of valuable hair advice so thank you! I just had a question, what do you think about the briogeo farewell frizz haircare set- shampoo, conditioner, leave in spray and heart protectant? I have fine hair and I just started to use them. My hair gets slightly oily on the 2nd day, not the worst. But the volume is non existent. I heard that it takes a while for your hair to get used to products (not sure if that’s true though). I like how it generally tames my frizz as the climate i live in is notoriously humid. I wanted to try the redken but its difficult to find locally and online. Should i stick it out and see if my hair adjusts or look elsewhere? I am still trying to find the redken but until then I have to rely on alternatives and I heard that the briogeo was good for fine frizzy hair on Reddit.

Hi I discovered this channel by mistake but I already love it. I have a question for you. I have too much hair and is very dry. I wash my hair once a week. But I have a problem. I do exercise almost every day, and I sweat a lot. And my hair get wet for all the sweating. What can I do. My hair you could say is coarse, but it goes soaking wet the part that is un the scalp.

Chris and Leslie, I have medium hair according to you hair type quiz and a little past my shoulders, it has some waves to. I’m currently using Redken color extend shampoo and conditioner and a heat protection spray and Aegean oil for my ends. I’m 55 years old and I tend to sleep hot so when I wake up in the morning my hair is all curly underneath and I have lots of fly always so I end up touching up my hair every day with the blow dryer and have to use hair spray to lay down my fly always and putting more product back into my hair. Is it ok to touch up my curly hair every day to smooth it out? I would like to replace my old blow dryer and round brush also. What are your recommendations?
