Not saying it's right but they have to punish people who are obviously guilty yet demand going through the process of a jury trial by giving them an excessive sentence. If they didn't do that EVERY DEFENDANT would wanna go before a jury because, why not, there's always a chance, they are not paying any cash for any of it so they get billed in years.

She didn't need him anymore after her YT channel took off. That tells me that she only kept him around because he was paying the bills. The guy worked two jobs & would have worked a third. As I mentioned earlier the reason he got a longer sentence was because the others guys pled guilty whereas this guy did not do so and instead went to trial and lost. Prosecutors encourage those being charged to plea guilty rather than go through with a trial because it is so much more expensive and time consuming to go through with a jury trial. They usually offer the incentive of a lesser sentence if they plea out in order to save the taxpayers a lot of money. So its not about if you don't do what they want then they give you a longer sentence...you have the absolute freedom to decide whether you want to plead guilty and take a lesser sentence or take your chances by going to trial ....if you win then you go free ...but if you lose then you will get a harsher sentence.

I would love it if someone saw this story and was able to get out of a bad situation before the unthinkable happens.
