Thanks for a great session. I used CGM for about 2 months and got great data that helped me drive my good intake to reduce/control the spikes. However, one thing that we don’t talk about is the “anxiety” that comes with CGM (it did with me) and the methods to control it. I’ve decided to give CGM a rest as the two months gave me tools that I need to use. I’ve been a vegetarian for 22 years (after being a huge meat eater before that) and I’m considering becoming a pescatarian to start the keto journey. Once I decide to move forward with that I’m brining the CGM back on my arm to monitor and adjust as I start making progress. Great work here, please continue and thanks for spreading good education. Appreciate this very much.

Thank you for the kind words. I do agree that any monitoring tool can have that effect and it could be of help if effective methods are used to mitigate it.

@@35sunoonkp50Hello mister AIIMS doctor, there have been several cases of people putting T2 diabetes into remission after cutting out foods that cause insulin resistance. Functional nutrition has been shown to increase insulin resistance, reducing dependence on medicine. You don’t have to shove tablets down your throat all the time. You guys have the sick mentality that everything a celebrity promotes is promotion and bad info. She has been through a lot and is helping others get through their own health struggles. Moreover, having seen videos by actual MDs on KZfaq, including consultations with clinical nutritionists, I assert that all these videos give accurate information, without any fads.

Hey Sam please continue your posts on functional health and alternative meds.please don't bother on the counter arguments. you are just posting based on your experience and what has worked..your intentions are very pure. these info on alternative options - most folks are not at all aware while there is exponential rise in lifestyle diseases. There might be misses here and there but we are all learning together. don't bother abt folks trying to villify or attack you rather than having a meaningful conversation to arrive at a conclusion.

Great point. These trolls have no idea of what’s going on in the clinical community. Most good doctors in the west now ascribe to nutrition before doling out meds. There are several MDs on KZfaq that shed light on nutrition, and show that it is a better long time cure than medical, for quite a few cases.

Yeah.. i agree keto will reverse type 2 diabetes. But the question is will the reversal be the same even after we switch to normal diet over a period of time or we will fall into diabetes again if we change our diet back??
@surendarvijay2520
@surendarvijay2520 5 күн бұрын
It can return, so we should reintroduce carbohydrates slowly into our diet. Additionally, increasing muscle mass can improve insulin sensitivity. There’s a nice KZfaq channel called glucose goddess that provides more info on meal timings, best foods etc. Take regular blood tests, under the guidance of a doctor to know if reintroducing carbohydrates is helping or not.

If one follows a well balanced diet post reversal then they can easily maintain healthy cardiometabolic health. On the other hand if we fall back to similar eating patterns that manifested the diabetes at the first place then there are chances that might return.

Too much saturated fat will make you insulin resistant. Ketogenic diet doesn’t fix the root cause
@surendarvijay2520
@surendarvijay2520 5 күн бұрын
This is a good point. However, it can be remedied by reducing saturated fat content and replacing it by polyunsaturated fats. Ketogenic diet does directly attack the root cause of insulin sensitivity in most people.
