This is fairly in character for velma. There was one time a vampire was threatening the mystery gang, saying "Go now, or abandon all hope of seeing the sun again." Velma just says "You stop that."

I'd say the animation is pretty decent, but it can't hold a candle to your imagination. Such is the limitation of all book adaptations.

Tim Curry not only played the original Pennywise in Stephen King's IT as well as the hotel manager in Home Alone 2, and The Lord Of Darkness in Legend, but he is also a great voice actor who voiced Hexxas in Ferngally, Drake in The Pebble and The Penguin, Forte in Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, and Ben Ravencroft in Scooby Doo & The Witch's Ghost!

It was really annoying that it got cancelled before they finished the original three books, as Mossflower was slated to be the fourth season. That would have brought the series full circle.

I don't know why I sympathized with Slagar a bit when reading the books. Probably because at that point I was getting sick of Redwall's predictable typecasting and I really wanted him and his crew to end up subverting that, but of course they didn't.
