SAMSON G Track Pro to iPad Instrument Recording

Welcome to the Fret Frontier! This episode will show how to use the Samson G Track Pro USB Condenser microphone to record instrument and vocals for KZfaq videos directly into an iPad.

FYI: for iPad users… after OS 16.5 upgrade, some users got error messages that the apple brand camera adapter was not providing enough power for the mic. That happened to me too so I got this less expensive after market camera adapter and it fixed the error. Hope this helps if u encounter this situation.

@stevebleakney819 - Hi, no not iMovie, for video editing I am using the VN editor app on an iPad. So, I record the video from the native camera on iPad using the Samson G for the audio, then pull that result from ‘photos’ into VN for editing. I hope that info is helpful. @Dave Hardy - I am still using the native iPad camera just selecting the video option. then I pull it into a free editor app on the iPad called VN. That will post my finished result to photos on the iPad. then I use the iXpand app to copy the video directly from my iPad to the related ScanDisk flash drive where I finally leverage the PC to do the upload to KZfaq. For some reason videos stopped loading directly from the iPad to KZfaq so that is my work around. Let me know if you find a camera you like. I am trying to keep my equipment to a minimum but as you go along it’s just starts evolving! Thank you for your comment, and thanks for watching!

@stevebleakney819 - Hi, oddly enough, it’s suppose to be on the bottom of the outside of the box. mine does have it there. I hope that helps.

Hi, you mean the camera adapter for plugging everything into the iPad right? lf so, I have put a link to the apple brand version in the description for you, (can’t put a link in comments for some reason). I think you can get less expensive offbrand versions but I have the Apple brand one. hope this helps. thanks for watching!
