Glad Samson are still at it. Big fan of their dynamic mics, but this condenser sounds fantastic. Very impressive stuff for a USB microphone.

After doing a bit of research I decided to buy one. I picked it up for 120 UK £'s. I've used it a few times now and I'm very impressed!! The video is a very good guide to this mic's use. The build and sonic quality are excellent. I wanted a solution to enable me to record my song ideas when I'm on the road and this is perfect solution. I was very surprised at how good it sounds.

I decided to buy the Samson G-Track Pro USB mic with my Christmas bonus. If you try singing to a background track, or speaking on any extra track (on Audacity), everything sounds all slowed down when played back, and the built in clipping light on the Mic will go off like crazy while recording...is there a sampling issue here that I can fix? It records fine and sounds really good when just recording on 1 track... Any suggestions on how to configure or fix this, or should I just take it back to the store? Confused, Tom

The mic has red lights flashing and it gives me a deep voice, I tried changing it to 44.1 khz but then it was doing the same thing even on this frequency, so i changed it back to 48khz, i don't know why this is happening. Is my USB cable faulty?

There is no adapter for a normal microphone stand in the box. Some websites have a picture of it, but it's not in de box and I can't find a shop where to buy it.

I'm having a huge problem and I have no idea how to solve it. I'm using the Performer Lite app that they give you for free with the purchase of the mic and I'm trying to connect my guitar and the mic is just not recognizing the guitar at all. I've tried a wireless transmitter and I thought that maybe it was broken so I bought a regular jack and it's still not recognizing it at all. And I cannot record at all the guitar because it is erasing the any noise but my voice. Anyone knows what am I doing wrong and how to fix it ? Cause i"m about to return this mic because it is totally useless at this point for me. I wanted something simple that would allow me to record 2 simple tracks of me singing and the guitar and it is just not happening... Thank you.

I plugged this into my PC tonight and set it as my input mic but none of my applications are working with it. Please help! My voice is not being picked up. I've set the volumes and all kinds of stuff.

Hi!I want to record vocals with this mic. Will I be able to hear the music from the computer if iconnect my headphones in the mic or will I just hear my voice and not the music?

I bought this mic, and it sounds good but, it would always make an annoying noise as my computer works harder like while playing games or using heavy applications, I’ve bought another cable and the noise is still there, any of you guys know why is it and how to solve? I use Windows 10.

Thanks for reaching out! The G-Track Pro is a USB microphone so it is meant to connect directly to a computer. If you want a mic that you can plug directly in to an H5, you'll want a more traditional microphone with an XLR output. Whether you have a digital piano or an acoustic, you would be able to either record via the 1/4" input jack or for an acoustic piano, you can use the condenser mic itself to capture it. This thing is sold and designed to be sat on your desk for streaming, yet if you dare touch the desk, the noise booms straight through the mic, and the thing is barely compatible with any available shock mounts.... Oh, and it's hard to get the adaptors so it works with most mic stands. Feeling like I've wasted my money.

Hi, I recently purchased this unit. Using it for video conferencing on Webex and Team. I see flashing light when talking. I have USB connected Webcam with audio disabled. I use headset (with microphone disabled) connected to laptop by USB. Any suggestions for resolving flashing red light issue ? Thank you.

that means that ur mic level is too high and is clipping, try turning down the gain until it stops flashing

Are you connecting it directly to the computer USB port? Sounds like not enough power is being delivered to the mike.

2 tips, one of these should fix it: Go into the Sound settings (if using Windows), find the Properties for the mic, and make sure the settings are the same for it on both a Playback and the Recording device tabs. For example, if you decided to increase the bit depth for it in Recording, you have to do the same in Playback, even if you never use the mic for Playback (in fact even if you have is disabled for Playback). Also, Samson mics have a problem if you leave them plugged in when you reboot. If you need to reboot, unplug the mic first, or else unplug/replug it after the reboot.

Hi, Harry! You would be able to record into GarageBand with this microphone. You are even able to record vocals and an instrument at the same time. Once you plug in the mic, your Mac should be able to recognize it as an input device, and then you'll go in and adjust the parameters within GarageBand, as well. It's a great mic! If you are looking to record into an iPad, you will need to get the camera adapter that converts the connection from a USB connection to a Lightning connection. I hope that this helps! Great question, thanks for reaching out! The G-Track Pro isn't really designed for use with iOS since it requires more power than most iOS devices can supply. There are some workarounds that involve a USB hub and connecting to the iOS device and a computer simultaneously, but it's not ideal. @@sweetwater Samson said it was okay for the iPad but not the iPhone which I feel it should work okay if you give it the added fantom power. I actually wasn’t able to get all my questions answered through Samson tech department. Do you know if you can import tracks through the recording software that comes the Samson G Track. I like recording myself with other music tracks. Also can you add effects such as reverb and compression to the finished tracks. I did view the video Sweetwater posted with Mitch reviewing the G track but this was not mentioned. Thanks,

I'm having this MIC. It's fucking wonderful... but there is is some downtimes. Like when you join discord it goes "off" and you have to unplug mic and plug it back so it wouldn't sound robotic. Also MIC sometimes goes off when updates don't catch up with windows updates. You might stay not using mic for few days.

yeah. but how did u set the mic to have no any other sound than voice. is it compression? even touching the mic (switch) makes no sound that should be visible sound on movie...strange? Just want to know (maybe noise cancelling + limiter on db's) anyway I have the first edition Samson G Track and I think is valuable Thang :)

Hi, Arne. That is a great question! You would be able to use the G-Track Pro with a smart phone, but if you are using an iPhone, you would need to use the camera adapter kit offered by Apple in order to make that connection. There is also a note that the G-Track requires the use of a powered USB hub when being used with an iOS device. Let us know if you have any other questions!
