When comparing the watch4 to the Active 2 with the rotating through the tiles and that the watch4 is sensitive. Is that simply because the watch4 has 16 tiles to select through when the Active 2 has 11?

Thanks for the review. Great job. I got my GW 4 classic 45mm yesterday and still have 47% left after 16.5 hours. And that is with updates and a lot of messing around with it. I am impressed so far. It is rivaling my tic watch pro 3.

you are Spot on with all of your comments here - ! Another difference here between the Active 2 and the GW4 - the POWER button on the Active 2 is on the bottom - and on the GW4 its on the top - why they did that , I have no idea !

Is it true that dust gets inside the bezel overtime and compromises its functionality? I work on a mine and my hands are always dirty. Would it be a good idea to avoid the classic one for this reason?

Wow such a useful tip about the Blood pressure monitoring is not yet available in the United States! This explains why when I went to the store to play with it, there was no blood pressure widget at all.. Bummer & hope they add it soon

The touch sensitive bezel should be made adjustable to the speed you want. Obviously, people of different age groups would want to use their own speed for scrolling through the options.

Can't wait for my watch to arrive in 6 days time. They also said that they were working on getting the blood pressure monitoring in a future update for the US. However I'm lucky as they have already approved the blood pressure monitoring in Australia. I'd advise buying from the AU instead of UK as it will be much cheaper for people in the US.

The heart rate monitor is not approved yet in the United States but that's not a big deal. You can get it on your phone in the app.

I had the active 2. Going to the new gw4 I noticed less battery life. I used to charge my battery every 2 days now.....I'm charging my watch every night. It's annoying

I have the galaxy watch 4, still learning how to use all the functions. But I do want to see a map of where I have walked, using the steps function and GPS, but cannot find it anywhere. I have been into a Samsung shop, and they said the watch doesn't do that and need to download a separate app. Surely not ? All watches have this

Hello Chigz; I came across your videos which I find to be the best which is why I liked, subscribed, and shared them. I don't wear watches because I don't like the feel of watches, but with a new job in the Cardiovascular unit of the hospital, I find that I need to purchase my first smartwatch - primarily for voice reminders for frequent blood transfusion reminders for example. I didn't hear you speak of voice reminders; however, after watching many of your videos, I assume this feature is readily available on all Samsung models(?) Maybe the smaller watch is better because it would be easier to clean/sanitize bodily fluids? What is your recommendation for hospital use, the regular or the classic Samsung device (money is not a determining factor)?

Definately impressive stuff. Yes the touch bezel of the GW2 would of been nicer (I use mine all the time) but as you say, everything can be done via the swipe gestures. It's also good that they kept the look of the old Tizen OS but have placed it on top of WearOS as well. Plus the price is on par with the existing GW2. Definately tempted to upgrade from the GW2!

Thanks for great video and lot advice ! I want ask you just one questin if you have a time to answer (because is very important not only for me, for everybody). If I turn "battery saving" to ON, can I receive all the notifications to watch (in vibration of course) or not ? Because I saw in your video when you turn on battery saver, in description get info "inactive all background activity" - is it that mean or not ? And also is it stop measure heart rate every 10 min ? Personally, I am not a fan of bezels on my watches (bezels like the one on the classic) . I think they look antiquated, that's just my opinion. I am also used to swipe on the screen instead of a rotating or digital bezel for selecting screens. I own the active 2 and If I buy one of these new watches it will be the one without the rotating bezel. Thank you for the review.

Definitely the battery life is gonna improve in the coming days ans months had same battery drain issue with my S21Ultra but after a few updates I know go I day and some few hours before charging.

One of the best reviews out there. Proper detail that is useful . But one question, the phone you are using is it a s12ultra. How long does the battery last on the phone? I work 12 hour shifts and want to change all my apple devices they normally get me through the day and more . Many thanks

I have an S21 Ultra and the battery easily lasts 20 hours with quite a bit of use. There is a power saving mode that can add another 5 hours by capping CPU speed to 70% and reducing screen brightness by 10%.

Hi Need some clarification please. Around 15:00, you mention that you can reply to notifications as long as you're connected to a Samsung phone (with an emphasis on Samsung). You then mention that if you connect to any other android phone, you get full functionality minus ECG and Blood O2, which would suggest you CAN reply to notifications from a non-Samsung Android. Then you follow on, after some talk of incompatibility with iOS, again stressing that you can only reply to notifications when paired with a Samsung phone. When talking about replies to notifications and stressing on Samsung, do you actually mean Android? Would stink if you couldn't even reply to messages on a non-Samsung Android.

I ve got a Samsung Watch in 2020 january.I accidently lost it in 2022 february so i decided to buy a new one in june.I think this is more better than my old watch.Im so excited for to come to me in 6 days.I would have a birthday in july 5 so it would be for me an amazing present.The battery doesnt metter for me beacuse i charge it everyday.The most important things are in wathches for me is the look, the feeling in your arm, and the system(fast no lag,...).Thanks for the informations

I have the Active 2. I am upgrading to use the Active 2 more for sport and the Watch 4 Classic more for dressing up, with the rotating bezel. Watch 4 is faster and it has more health options as well. I'm already very comfortable swimming with my Active 2 without worry. I do it all the time. The Watch 4 classic I would not necessarily jump in the ocean with.

I like the design of the Active 2 more than the regular Watch 4. Seems like a nice upgrade but I'll wait to upgrade to see how Samsung and Wear OS mature in the next year or two.
