My husband (hydro repair co) looked at wixom dam and the owner was trying to get financing and a ferc permit..Whitmer insisted in raising the waters during the spring thawing causing the Wixom dam to break..when she was being told that it shouldn't be raised because of the need for repair and time of season. Shame on you Whitmer..prayers and hugs to all who have been touched by this disaster. Hopefully this can be resolved and fixed 🙏

Maybe the owner should have made the needed upgrades.

Glad you're able to Post "Real Time" aerial footage. Check in Daily on stationary cam shots, but these 7-8 min clips better perspective of the operation. Wonder if work actually STOPS in Sept with this latest Property Owners Lawsuit! Secord Dam almost there, with just a small crew fine-tuning the overall rebuild. Looks like water leaks under control!

I’ve been trying to find the time to get up to Secord! Also I have no clue if there is any work going on at Wixom currently, but if there is I’d like to go there too. Young kids make things tough! Luckily my oldest was patient enough to come with me for filming this video.

Per the Four Lakes Task force web site, activity at Sanford Dam will cease in December unless the lawsuit is resolved. They will be finishing up work on the east side of the dam, which I assume means completion of the new gated spillways and whatever modifications they are doing inside the former power house.

Not sure if I'm seeing wrong but it looks like they are tearing down the new cement that they just installed a year or 2 ago. Must be a new person in charge cause this is what I would of done it from day one when all the debris was piled in front of the dam. Could of been a couple years ahead of schedule by now. Great updates thanks

These large projects sometimes have intermediate steps that are planned to be undone at some point. I agree with you that it looks unusual, but it is probably part of the larger plan.

I thought the same thing.

With having Live Cams and occasional Drone shots, it's easy to see some waste of Time and Money changing course of actions, especially at Sanford. Lot of tearing down what they built and starting over again! Contractor may not be the right fit for the Sanford Operation! Who knows? There's been some "grumblings" going on over at Secord bout "overkill" on restoration at that rebuild! Lot of Questions out there!
