NOTE!!! Tinapa flakes is the main ingredient to bring saltiness to the mild flavor of the sauce.. so you can either put a little bit of it while cooking and make the sauce mild.. resulting in a mild flavor when you add the palabok noodles.. you just have to add a bit more of it as toppings when serving.. or.. after mixing the noodles and the sauce, you could add more of the tinapa flakes to your desired level of flavor so you won't have to add more as toppings.. 😉😊
INGREDIENTS
-2pcs onions diced
-1head garlic chopped
-500g ground pork
-1/2tsp salt and ground black pepper
-4Tbsp tinapa flakes (add more later if preferred)
-1 shrimp cube
-4Cups annatto water (in a bowl, add 2Tbsp annatto seeds, add few drops of lihiya, then add 4Cups hot water then mix to extract the color then strain the annatto seeds)
-3Tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 3Tbsp water
-4Tbsp calamansi juice
-500g palabok noodles
FOR TOPPINGS
-boiled egg
-pan fried pork seasoned with salt and ground black pepper
-chopped onions
-boiled shrimp
