I hope you people understand that Shell isn't like the main source of all this, but the capitalistic system is. "The moral pieties, that are voiced today by many well-meaning environmentalists, are as naive as the moral pieties of multinationals are manipulative. Capitalism can no more be 'persuaded' to limit growth than a human being can be 'persuaded' to stop breathing."

maybe WE need to use less gas.... ie: don't fly in airplanes for example; it uses a ton of gas.... think about it.

Russia is staking out Arctic Resources - some metals they are already mining, and exploring for more; as well as possibly some of the largest deposits of oil left in the world. They have planted the Russian flag (underwater) there is no dry land at the North Pole. ) but that is where the wealth is. Old American proverb _ Go where the gold is! Capitalism, speaking of the US where are we? Building a military presence there with Finland. The Russian military has been there for a decade.

As a Russian, I'm not sure why Shell is not given any nationality, whereas its counterparts are called "Russian" friends... Doesn't the Russian company have a name? Or isn't Shell an "anglo-dutch oil giant"? You guys should be more consistent, there's no need to pin point one's nationality and comfortably ignore another

Geenpeace action was not peaceful. They occupied the platform already last year for 5 days, and wanted to repeat this occupation. They resisted the orders of the coast guard. Can you imagine people resisting orders police? Only gangsters do that. GP dingies tried repeatedly to sink the coast guard inflatables. And when the coast guard boarded the Arctic Sunrise the GP activists tried to prevent that by dancing around with their arms raised. It all seems peaceful, but it is all calculated agression.
