Yes, vampirism seems like a great deal, until you notice the many caveats. If they murder they lose themselves and sink deeper into the curse. They can do a lot, but they desperately require blood to do any of it. They need to feed into their curse or they'll be forever hungry. They will never be rid of their two great enemies, for the sun is beyond their reckoning, and humanity is vital to their survival.

Vamily are all about that Game of Thrones, Ghoul Squad is like a Warhammer 40k Killteam mission.

@@seraphilight Sometimes they send Kindred to clean up messes, earned myself more than few decent boons over the years doing jobs like this for the Camarilla, Anarchs, and even Sabbat (they cover up stuff from the Ivory Tower sometimes, not humans). Ghouls tend to do the day work, who ever can best get the job done gets the night work.

In all fairness....all it takes is a few awful rolls...and they would have been out of luck. It could easily have been a few failures, maybe even with no successes. It's all in the luck of the dice. Just imagine if they had horrible luck and all of them died...

You make a good point. But this is often the case. Ghouls are dedicated servants, who are driven only by the desire to serve their masters. They tend to be more driven by desire to serve than self-preservation, and retain their sense of human limitations. Vampires often are less tactically sound because of both their hubris, and their beast driving their emotional reactions to their targets or other issues. True that that Ghoul Team 6 could teach The Coterie about tacts. But remember, Ib has been a tactical warrior ghoul for over 100 years, longer than Victor has been a vampire. And Victor, being the leader, can’t really fight and doesn’t know how to set up operations. Their best tactical member is Jasper, who, while an exceptional killer, has only been a vampire a few years and is fairly new to working in a team like this. In pretty much is accepted as being far more knowledgeable about this kind of thing than they, and let’s them know at times.

This was my fav episode of the series. Love the Flower Garden!

Yeah the Camarilla book describes her as extremely politically connected, knowing "everyone worth controlling in the Davos elite". And her picture is of an older woman. I'm guessing high generation though.

having recently gotten my hands on the fifth edition corebook for VtM, i found that, after some light skimming, all the graphics in the opening are from the pages of this book it definitely took me by surprise when i saw jasper's and that demented looking one after mr. carl's name XD

All 3 of those ghouls have questionable loyalties if you ask me. Chelsea should end up back in cam hands at some point. Greg is playing both angles ir seems to me. Ib belongs to Fierenza (sp jason?). Maybe she gets embraced but she will still be Fs. They are group of maybes at best.

Certainly, their loyalty is fairweather. It's primarily the vitae that generates the loyalty anyways. Greg also must play both sides for his own survival, and to be maximally useful to Nelli. I believe Nelli is incredibly well suited to inspiring/maintaining loyalty with her presence abilities.

@@duncanrae466 If you can send three people into a building with four armed FBI agents and they walk out of that building with all agents dead they are far from "maybes" . They should not be on this type of mission. they should be doing covert sniper cover and surveillance of other lairs for weeks before a hit team descends on either the lair or ambushes the occupants elsewhere in a place with good arcs of fire for two snipers. you dont want someone like Jasper or the Prince to sneak up and take control of them or eliminate them

If you have a plan ( and they didn't have a decent briefing as to a plan and alternatives if any step of it does not happen) you STICK WITH IT ! the fact that they got a favourable outcome was nothing to do with the plan! The same "do as you feel" attitude could cause serious problems in future. Anarchists don't reject planning or leadership. They just reject unacceptable authority. But anti authoritarians can elect to follow orders and have a commander and if they do they FOLLOW ORDERS. and while Greg may not be the "boss" when you AGREE that you will not act that is the same. I mean it LUDICROUS to sneak all the way up to the top of a fire escape and then make huge noise breaking down a door ( unless the plan was "sneak up and storm them" which is what it became and which it probably should have been as Greg neither agreed to a protocol to initiate entry or agreed to an extraction protocol). That said the agents inside should have "buttoned down" and waited for backup and as soon as they heard anything upstairs locked in and pressed the panic button. But like fools they went "securing the perimeter" when they were scant on agents. A success based on a mess isn't acceptable! They should have a debrief and LEARN that they need ops to work to plan in future! Because if they don't they will lose operatives and objectives! They got lucky here. Their skills bailed them out. and the van could have a GPS tracker so they should have ditched it soon after they took it.

@@frankparker1191 The FBI guys should have booby trapped every door on the upper floor including the fire exit. And the two on the fire exit should have tried to scale the roof and either enter a skylight or make a hole in the slates or enter through a window "not a door). they should have maintained constant radio contact or at least silent test by phone as Jasper does when he scouts. They should have scouted the top floor and identified their quarry and hit them BEFORE they got off any warnings. If they backed the van up to the door and removed all the bodies and did not torch the place the Inquisition might suspect they were double agents and still around. Or if you hadn't killed them you could interrogate them. Even one of them. Shooting him was silly when you could knock him unconscious. To be fair only the leader seemed to be of any possible use for new information and you would probably not get him alive. But removing the bodies would help. AS it is they probably will identify some human remains ( if the IED didn't remove all of that) and some body armour ( should they go through the huge expense of forensically examining the rubble) but not be certain if it is their agents. So it is safe to assume they think all including Chloe are dead. they would assume Why would their quarry risk anything to preserve or rescue a minor target when they can just remove them and anyone who came into contact with them?

Bart Connolly: There is a really good chance that it was not meant to be hard to rescue the target for reasons, not yet revealed. The fact that it was knocked over so easily, and sloppily... Screams honeypot to me. There were no camera's inside the building as far as we know, what about outside the building? I'm thinking sentries were watching from adjacent locations. Sentries that would have seen a slim young woman, punt open a fire exit door with relative ease. That is a possible Masquerade breech caught on camera. Just my thought's on the situation, based on how it played out.

@@frankparker1191 Interesting ...but the building was remote. I'm thinking heightened senses would tag others on nearby buildings. And even a video from a distance isn't good enough to show they are supernatural. And they are NOT Vampires and it is the middle of the day. I don't think it was a honey pot. But you are 100% correct. They should have scouted other buildings. They should have determined known entries and egress as well as possible ones like windows roof even walls. They should have had access to online building plans. they should have a plan to cut power and comms. Maybe just comms. Indoor lighting in daytime was probably not necessary except in the basement. The van also needed to be checked out for occupants. They then should systematically recon and floor starting with the top. When it was cleared they could set up an ambush from the first floor and knock on the front. Greg would probably still get to the prisoner or discover where she is. And they would either capture and or kill the three on the ground floor and either capture or kill the fourth especially if he was in the van and they caught him coming out so the outcome would be the same. Maybe he was a Leopold operative? Anyway I think the no cameras was because they wanted to fly Chloe out and either don't trust electronic systems or dont want records. She's a Ghoul now so I don't expect Jasper will be using Rohypnol on Becca Scott.

@@JasonCarl Now I am and analytical person but I Think like "Lost" or "Game of Thrones" or any "political intrigue" show you need to look five years or seven series ahead and decide where you want to go. Maybe work backwards from that? What would happen of a seriously high Cam lich arrived from Europe or a Sabbat from south america? What will happen when the Labyrinth vamp wakes up? what management structures will maintain societal stability and enable them to cope with external threats? what research opportunities do they have whether known to them or not? What about "scholar" coming from outside like that wolf character whats his name the Archeologist in Bloodlines? None of these may actually happen but I assume you can have a list of "trip wires" that will activate a sub plot theme if they ever go there. As you seem to have with the body in the Labyrinth. In the end budget will decide what continues and it is your own time but planning will prevent a plot collapse that happens when plot options for two series ahead are not considered and a big rush to tie up story arcs and plots happens. It is better left open ended if you run out of budget like "The Lost Room" [edit Have you seen the Lost Room series?] . even in 20 years someone can come along and pick it up from there.

As for the story planning, I consider myself a temporary steward of the World of Darkness, and although I do have plots and subplots contemplated for several seasons and years into the future, I try not to overplan, because unlike television this is an emerging narrative and the characters must be allowed real agency and free will, and I never know what they will choose to say or do.

I confess a am ignorant of the dynamics of the system and the history of the lore but am learning about it. Actions that I guess he took to protect himself. It would fit his character so far. Depends on how much Nelli is involved. I doubt that Victor would approve of turning Fiona over to the inquisition. However I could see Nelli or Greg doing it thinking that they were helping him or Nelli by proxy that way. I'm late to the party so no spoilers please.

Being fair, if we take it in story, if you're more expendable and vulnerable you're going to be the best fucker in order to stay alive, but if we take it out of the story, they had some really good rolls, they got extremely lucky

Jason Carl commented on Bloodlines 2 in a previous episode. He hinted there would at very least be references to LA by Night, but given the cast involved in LA by Night I can easily see full appearances. Think about it, they had Mark Meer as Chaz.. Commander Sheppard himself and many of the other cast are voice actors. I would not be surprised if they could have been cast for roles in Bloodlines 2 and once LA by Night became so popular Paradox just said "make them their characters, we'll just rewrite the roles they were to be who they are now!"

The Inquisition agents appear to be intending to rescue Chloe from ghoul-hood, but Nelli's Flowers (plus Ib) are intending to rescue Chloe from the Inquisition. And honestly, I trust their intentions more than I do the people who abducted Chloe and drugged her into unconsciousness. (Admittedly, the Inquisition might not be completely responsible for that last - seems a bit outside their capabilities to create a medication that specifically attacks the blood bond) Be that as it may, unless there was a 4th ghoul who couldn't make it (and Ellenore doesn't seem a good fit for this operation on multiple levels, leaving out the last possible known candidate) we have 4 hawks in the vision, and only 3 ghouls in reality.

Seems to me the 4 "hawks" are the 4 FBI! And they are "circling over her" as she is in the basement. The rivers are roads. Maybe try playing "Mysterium"? :)

Actually if Anabelle can pull her coterie plus x plus the Three young Tramere plus Eva plus another half dozen Valkeries with these three Ghouls they have a serious "platoon" of enhanced individuals. they have artillery and infantry and scouts/snipers. all they lack is the "calvary" element. They were lucky ( well she wanted to be there) to have Nelli when they went after Chas because chas had the speed to outrun them and only Nelli could keep up with him . They need more "blinkers". they also have to possibility of calling on Therese/Jeanette ( best getting her offside) Nines or Gary Golden or Baron Abrams although any of them ( except Nines) may be costly. and maybe of pulling in some Garou. the coteries assets are increasing!
