Ahhh, so this is David. I heard people commenting on him but never knew who he was. Im in the US and just found out who Gok is, so I've been binge watching. I'm retired but would love to work in a bridal shop. David is already over her budget on the second dress, that's not fair to the bride. If she falls in love with it, she might not be able to afford it.

This shop is small and mat not have all the dress styles in all the different budgets. It is also located in London, which is also expensive. If brides cone here wanting cheap dresses, they have come to the wrong place. Then the comments are about the dresses that the bride decided she wanted to try on. It is not David's fault this bride went through the racks and picked dresses over her budget. She did this, not him.

I think it's a bit of a fools errand to focus so much on looking 'timeless' - trends come and go, true, but it's a reflection of who you are when you were married. I've never seen a wedding photo and not been able to tell when the wedding was, whether it was in the 50s, 70s, 90s, or Teenies. It's inevitable if you're buying a new dress it's going to reflect the main bridal styles of the time, so I wouldn't worry about it so much! 🥰
@lisazdvoru1660

I think people go wrong when they choose a dress BECAUSE it is trendy. Choose a dress that you love and makes you feel excited to get married. That feeling endures even when styles shift. If it just makes you feel like you have "the look" you might hate it in 15 years when trends shift.

I think David Emmanuel is a waste of time and adds nothing to the dress choices. The bride and the consultant do it all. In the US Randy knows the stock like the back of his hand and is fantastic with the brides and the entourages. So why did she go to the English equivalent of Kleinfeld with £1000? It isn't the shop's fault. What is wrong with you? The most basic dresses on that shop START at £1000. Add on specific details, and you will NOT get it under £1000 without some compromise. All these brides who come in with £1000 did not do their homework with this shop. Neither do the ones with £1500 but want bling, expensive lace, and lots of "wow" factors. And all of you who keep complaining do the math about 40% over budget or so forget what the baseline is. The price point is TOO LOW. Why is that? If you want champagne on a beer budget, you're either gonna have to get a crappy champagne or increase your budget. Why is it so terrible that this shop gives them a taste of the good champagne for their WEDDING so then they can decide their best way forward? A good decision is one with eyes wide open.

Sometimes we don't love ourselves the way we should until we do, we are not able to truly be happy in anything we put on. I think this bride to be had helped so many other people she never really thought about herself as a bride and allowed herself to envision what she might wear until that moment. It's wonderful that we have experts to guide us away from tragedy because she would've picked the entirely wrong dress has she chosen what she thought she wanted, because it was absolutely clear she did not look good in it. I’m not sure critiquing the types of dresses your clients like on television is a sound business decision. She didn’t say it exactly, but was she implying some of her clients had back fat in their strapless gowns? Wouldn’t that be the type of thing you point out to your clients so they don’t make a mistake when purchasing an expensive gown? Yes, if you don’t like the style personally but your client does you keep quiet and let them be happy, but if you see it doesn’t flatter them and doesn’t fit them, that’s when you gently bring up that maybe it’s not the most flattering style for them.

Why do people buy dresses based on what’s going to be popular 10 years from now? I’m gonna tell you when you get married you’ll be lucky if you look at your wedding photos once in 10 years. Not to mention nobody cares what you look like. On a serious level, nobody’s going to really think that deeply about your dress or what’s in style what they remember is the moment that you made an entrance. That’s what people remember the most. Buy what makes you happy right now

Her long list wasn't even long😅 Like I felt terrible when she came out in the 1st dress that showed back fat which she already said wasn't what she wanted.😤 The dress she chose was lovely. But she had the easiest demands. Yet they kept making it dramatic.🤦‍♀️ I feel she could of had better options to try out. Still glad she has more body positivity now and knows she looks good in fitted dresses as well😊

Since she is wedding planner she knew trick how to get dress for perfect budget. Her money idea was 2.000, but she lied because otherwise they would put her in sth for 4.000 £. 😋

Yeah, I noticed that one of the gowns they chose for her to try on was 1700 British Pounds.

This bride is an old fashion elegant style woman and I sincerely consider she looked amazing in everything she tried on, excepting the third dress one because of the sparkles that doesn't mix her. The lace was made for her and the last option one was definitely the best, the body line was gorgeous, the details delicate, the straps and neckline were romantic and the overall look was classic and consistent. But the attitude in Confetti and Lace that consultants take when David Emmanuel is in, it's absolutely unprofessional. Agree, the brides decide if they spend the money but not giving them alternatives on budget is disrespectful. The show is great when David is not around the store.

I liked the first dress on her but she’s right, the back wasn’t so flattering. I don’t think it looked as matronly as they did. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I wish we could stop making comment about people’s bodies. If I had a dollar for every time I heard “it enhances her curves” on this show as if the curves were bad in the first place I’d be a millionaire.

I guess we "hear" things somewhat differently. When I hear "enhances her curves ", I hear that she has lovely curves and this (enhances) makes them look even better!
