Have quite a few of both ranges of their paints and love them. I especially love their metallics!

My local hobby store brought these in recently and having had a chance to play around with a couple of them, I feel like I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with them. On one hand the colors are awesome, and they're really easy to blend with, meaning that even a terrible painter like me can get really nice results. On the other hand they're really slow to apply properly, since they're thinner and designed for blending it takes 3-5 thin coats to get proper coverage when used for base coats. I still really like them and have plans for a few of them in the future, but I feel like I'll be sticking to Vallejo for base coats at the very least.

I have the normal SCALE paints, all the metalics and some of the Fantasy range and honestly dont think i've used any other brand since, realy like them, would recommend to anyone.

Your so right about GW bottles, there horrible . I can only imagine that the reason they don't change them is they don't want upset the people that have bought citadel tray holders or something. Very interested in this set but what puts me off is familiarity with the G W pallette.

Dude, that is a really REALLY WET wet palette!

I just used them, the Orc skin set and it’s very frustrating to use them. For an even basecoat I need lots of layers with these paints (they had a really good shake) compared to the scale75 which covers much quicker.

I really like the regular scalecolor paints for layering and glazing, but I feel like the fantasy and games paints kind of suck. In the u.s., these paints are the same price as gw so they're on the higher side, but i feel that they're worse than gw, and also worse than even vallejo game color or p3. The finish is satin, and the coverage is pretty bad. Even the regular scalecolor paints, which are all at least a little transparent, seem to have better coverage. I'm glad that I ordered more of the regular scalecolor paints and not these ones, definitely not worth it IMHO

You said in the last review video of yours I just watched that the scale 75 paints were much thicker than the GW paints and yet you have just said in this they are much thinner ???

Great video. Please please please smoothing palette my man!!! You have air traveling through you sponge and I imagine your palette drys fast 😂 also scale paint is not useable out of the pot...... its almost double the thickness of GW. Duncan is crying

Thanks for the video. I don’t know if you will still get comments from this but here goes. I am back into the hobby after a long break. Tried Vallejo, scale75 (both ranges) and I’m thinking of filling out my collection by getting the rest of the fantasy and game line but warcolours have a great sale on. Have you had a chance to compare them? I wish I had found you video a couple of months ago as I would have gone all in on the two scale colour ranges and had no Vallejo. Hey ho. Still good paint but I have space in my racks to complete one of the scale colour ranges or to get the equivilent colours from warcolours for about £45 less. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

How is the purity white, as I'm struggling to find one that works with brush and works good.

Did you have to remove excess medium from the bottles? I'm getting poor coverage (over black primer). I see you're using grey primer so that may make a difference. But right now, even with a steel ball in the pot and a lot of shaking, coverage over black is just poor. Citadel layer paints (not even the base line) have better coverage than scale75 F&G.

I like the look of the paints except how matte they are, is it possible to add a semi gloss medium to these paints before painting them on so as to add the gloss finish? Would this dilute the colour?

I wanted to try these paints but couldn't find a local dealer so I contacted Scale75. After waiting a month for a reply from them on my polite inquiry whether or not they provide test paints I sent them another email asking if they shouldn't have decency to reply even if it's negative. "It's not nice not to have decency to at least answer your emails" is the exact quote. This is the highly educated and professional reply from the Scale75 owner: SCALE75 is closed for holidays. I am the manager of SCALE75 and I am going to lose 2 'of my free time to answer you. We have not received your previous message, we do not know if this mail have entered the spam folder. I'm going to tell you two things. First, we are a decent company, never in 9 years people have labeled us indecent, only you without even having dealings with us.
