Hey guys! In this video I'm explaining how you can maximize your profits by using a lawn care scheduling system such as Yardbook. Yardbook allows me to save time scheduling clients, adding jobs, and optimizing the most efficient routes. I encourage you to take advantage of software immediately if you are starting a lawn care business!

I love these types of videos you do. I care more about the business type videos than I do the grass cutting videos like some guys like to post on here. All about the growth!

I would love to see a video about how to plan a day to day budget. Like how do you determine how much you pay your guys, manage fuel, repairs etc. take us on a ride for a day with you and your crew. I know you did a video on how to price your lawns. That to me was the best video ever. But my question I guess is ok, we made this money, now how do we disperse it! Do I pay my best guys more? How do I budget for the day, week month and what on earth do we do during the winter? Hope this makes sense.

Few questions as a yardbook user. 1. whats up with the "cc" after every name on your schedule? 2. do you use the "grass cutting feature or did you add your own to the catalog like Professional mowing service and set up property specific pricing? 3. I would love to see more videos or tips using yardbook. There are so many different ways to use it, I would like to try out new systems, processes etc. Thanks Man! Happy growing! Greg

Hey Jonathan. Appreciate your work on these videos. They have helped me a ton. How do you handle scheduling when weather hits for 3 or 4 days? Do you mow the yard and then resume the original schedule or do you shift all future dates for the customer. I have biweekly customers that can get behind 3 or 4 days at time due to weather.

Thanks for all the useful info! We started with Yardbook but couldnt find a way to link to our quickbooks with our setup. We are now using SA and is working great. Video I would like to see is property maintenance and how to setup up the schedule for that. Weeds come quickly so what I have been doing lately is spraying weeds one week and adding preen, then next week coming back and either weedeating the weeds or handpulling the dead. How do you do this or do you do this? Reason is I recently lost a customer because it wasnt clear that we were supposed to maintain beds. Thanks Jonathan again. Matt

I’d be interested to see how you add a customer on a full route and bump an “outlying” property to another day. How do you handle that bumped customer?

My question would be is how do you handle your scheduling if you have rain for the week multiple days in a row. I am assuming that is why you have Friday and the weekends as a backup, do you notify your customers of rescheduling. Thanks

Hey Johnathon! Do you know if there is a way to quickly reassign a route to an employee? IE route is assigned to Carl, Carl calls out that morning and the route needs to be reassigned to John.

Our county tax collector’s website lets you download a csv of all property owners within a specific area- yardbook let’s you upload prospects in a csv- it’s not foolproof, but if I’m driving by a house and notice no edging, that lead is already in the system by name if it’s a target neighborhood. Also, it is amazingly efficient when a call comes in and the profile is already in the system.

I am interested in what you say on the phone when a potential client calls. Do you measure the property online and try to give a price? What if they want bush trimming too? Do you sell them on what you can, and go look in person at the rest at a later date? How does that phone conversation go? What are you doing to upsell your clients? How does that conversation go? How are you following up with already sent estimates? How does that conversation go?

Hi, I was looking at Yardbook and I was wondering which plan you have? Are you using the Free plan or the "Premium" and why? I saw they want $34.95 a month for the premium. I am specifically interested in being able to do bulk texting to my customers, but that seems like way too much money to pay each month to be able to text my customers.
