I cannot speak to how the Traditional Latin Mass people have behaved in Ireland, but here in Texas, they have just wanted to worship God in their own quiet, private way while raising a large family. Pope Francis behaviour toward the TLM people bespeaks more of a bully than a father. If he is indeed the Papa of the Catholic Church, then he is an abusive one.

Another point, Father. I refuse the weakness, the fascade, the disobedience of the new mass. You said it yourself, the chatterboxes before the Mass. in the real Catholic Mass, you can hear a pin drop. Absolute silence. I despise the behavior of new mass attendees. That obliteration of the Holy Mass offends God. I reject the disobedience of Bugnini. Never will I attend his catastrophe.

Good talk and agree with much of it.. Respectfully though, I think you're a little easy on our current Pope and his utterly confusing and at times bizarre leadership. I attend both Latin and N O Mass, depending on circumstances.. Find both edifying. Pope Francis crackdown on the TLM while frankly doing nothing about the German Bishops or the likes of the American Jesuit Fr. Martin is little short of disgraceful....The confusion in the Church can't all be laid at his door but he seems to do very little to dispel it.. I pray for him. 2 Days after I wrote this, the excellent Bishop Strickland is fired from his position while the aforementioned German Bishops are still allowed away with spiritual bankruptcy..

I don't want bishops teaching sin, I think they should be removed from their post until they repent. Nothing good can come about from having people preaching and promoting sin from within the Church

Amen. I have been "excommunicated" from a traditional Catholic group. May God bless them, I think they truly believe they are superior.

Father I have always been respectful to the clergy.i love Jesus, but I honestly cannot understand Pope Francis. Is he damaging the church or helping it.

While I agree that schism is a seeping wound on the Body of Christ, I might suggest that by His wounds we are healed. God may allow a schism in His permissive will and it will be for His glory (as painful as the process will be). I don’t hope for schism by any means. I want all people to come to the fullness of truth and be Catholic. I don’t want anyone to leave the sheepfold through schism or any other means. But again, if the Lord allows it to happen, He knows what He is about.

Judging by the clout he gave to that woman in St.Peters square during one of his walk abouts a few years ago it doesn't take alot to 'provoke' big Frank.

Yes of course …charity demands a loving approach but I’m sorry Fr….the problem is there is not orthodoxy coming from the top down and among the ranks in the priesthood…ask those laity in the pews….what they understand about the faith and sins that cry out to Heaven. The responses and actions of the Vatican are disproportionate and frankly unjust as well as demonstrative of heterodoxy. God be with you 🙏✝️✝️✝️

Ten thousand homeless people in Ireland at the moment as just one example from many round the whole world. Why doesnt the vatican with its billions help these people?? Maybe like Christ would have

Not quite Father- the Seven Eucemenical Councils were NOT held under the auspices of the pope. The second one was held under the presidency of someone NOT in communion with the bishop of Rome. The Councils were, in the end, endorsed by the bishop of Rome but that's neither here not there. Father Brendan seems, in a way to advise us to plonk our heads in the sand. There's no point pretending that this 'pope' and the Synod are not grave dangers to the Faith. The answer of course is Holy (Eastern) Orthodoxy.
