Greetings, great video! I have the same ac unit and the blower motors were working fine but all of a suffer went to 1/2 operation. 2 fans and not 4 working . After about 20 hrs all the fans stopped working . Searching for the wiring diagram for the unit are scarce. My question is , is there any resistors(blower) in the inside unit that can cause the fans to be inop?

You can make a video on how to the fix the ac compartments in the engine?

Hi there Cajun. Appreciate the sub. Thank you. On the vid you are suggesting. I can try and put a vid together of the area you have in mind more detailed. I have three more units in line for ac work. Let me know what you would like to see and I’ll try to get it on video. Thank you again.

Why not just add coolant to the ac is that even possible I need to know if you can cos I own a 1988 Ford skoolie and it has the same ac unit but mine is still running cold

Hello, what is this air conditioner running off on?does the air/heat blow throughout the whole bus?
@JoesBusBarn4 жыл бұрын
malazkm 2010 Hey there Malazkm. The 3 ac units are hung up on the ceiling of the bus (front, center, and rear). Runs off 2 engine mounted a/c compressors. The heater unit runs off the hot coolant from the engine and those 3 units are floor mounted. Heater runs with the help of an auxiliary water boost pump. Hope that helps

@@JoesBusBarn thank you. I'm doing a bus conversion, and I'm not trying to is solar energy for that. I also wanted to know how much would I be to install the system?

We don’t even have ac on our buses and we live in the Deep South

Daniel Patterson The only schools I know don’t have a/c in south Texas are idea schools. Wondering if those are the buses you mentioned.

Some school districts don’t have the money to own buses that have A/C in them. We traveled somewhere in South Texas, and most places are low-income.

I have a 2006 freigthleiner B2 with carrier ac unit. But the ac only turns on level 2 but not on 1&3 .. My mechanics cant find the issue. Do you have any idea what should be looking at to fix this issue?

Blower motor resistor at evaporator. Is speed control switch rotary or toggle (blue). If it’s toggle. Check harness switch for voltage (continuity)

Is this what's called a mini split system
@JoesBusBarn4 жыл бұрын
mike gonzalez Hey mike. They kinda resemble a home mini split system. 2 evaporators running of the same compressor. Not sure if they call these systems mini splits though.

why is there a circle on the ic bus celling?
@JoesBusBarn8 ай бұрын
I’m going to assume that you meant the escape hatch on the bus roof. That’s in case of an accident (roll sideways). Emergency exit on roof.

Incorrect that's not going to do it that unit should be behind the school bus drivers seat about two or three seats behind him or her and then have a fan blowing on the driver on my Special Needs Bus that's how it works and it works really really good and then that other fan system put it back on the other side where that one was a little further back for the return for the driver situation underneath the unit it should be on the right side of the panel box return that way it's pulling from the back because when you open the door heat will come underneath the unit and make it work much harder that's my take on it good luck the fan on the outside of the AC box need to have its own switch when the kids start holler it's cold the driver can still have a fan on high

If it’s not blowing right address the problem
@JoesBusBarn4 жыл бұрын
Michael Heller It’s functioning properly. It’s just a little to far from the drivers cockpit. The fan is just to blow a bit more colder air towards the driver. The set up from Andy’s air is just off by a bit.
