Hey guys! We’re Jimmy & Natalie, and we’re really excited to share our journey with you as we work on converting our new short bus into our very own tiny home on wheels!
Our bus is a 1997 Thomas International Short Bus. We have some big plans for completing the build, and for traveling in it as soon as it’s ready.
We hope you stick around for our weekly videos!

4:05 Jimmy finds a way to do pull-ups! You do make the best couple because you work together so seamlessly. I hope that you will continue to share your lives through your wedding and possibly en eventual family. Your Instagram page says fiancés, I would never assume something like that on my own. I have not seem too many of your videos yet, but what I have seen, I really enjoy!

Thanks!! It was some work to remove, but so far we don’t regret it at all. It’s given us so much more room to work with 😄

I would have thought a/c was a good thing to have in a bus. You'd certainly need it here in Arizona.

Binge watching the heck out of your Skoolie build playlist after your starter replacement in Albuquerque ep randomly popped up in my feed. Living in NM, I'm glad you got that sorted out. Subbed and enjoying the videos.

Nice progress! Is that the last of the demolition needed? Or are there a few more things that need to be removed before your blank canvas is revealed?

We have actually decided to remove the ceiling, windows, and walls of the bus in order to re-seal and add our own insulation. This might add some extra time to the build, but we think it’ll be worth it in the long run!

Our yellow school busses never had air conditioning, but I completely understand why you had to take those huge components out of your beautiful build.

Do you have to remove the compressor? Or can I just leave it. Would it be fine?

Were you able to sell the AC parts for scrap?

NOoooo!! 😳 Did the dash AC work? The bus that I just purchased doesn't have AC at all.... and I live in the South-East!! Looking at possibilities for solar cooling (oxymoron) that will work while driving and sitting at camp.

The dash AC did not work 😬 I think the electronics for that part were pretty messed up so it was possible it just wasn’t getting any power as well

Did y’all remove the belt going to the compressors? How’s the bus running?
@JimmyandNatalie
@JimmyandNatalie 3 жыл бұрын
Yes we did! And the bus is running great! I’ve heard removing the belts can help improve the performance of the engine, but if I’m honest, I have not noticed a big difference since we removed them.

If the ac would've worked would you have kept it?
@JimmyandNatalie
@JimmyandNatalie 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, probably not. It just took up too much room thy we could have used for other things. And we would have only been able to run it while the bus was on, so not ideal 😅

We took it to a local shop and asked them to remove it. BUT it turns out the last owner already did and they confirmed that for us

Wow, so much junk just for the AC. I'm glad I never had to deal with that. I only had a heater which is more simpler. Only 2 lines. You're gonna wanna patch up those holes in the firewall from the AC vents or you'll smell your engine much more. You probably know this already by the time you are receiving this comment.
