You must be knew. Everyone knows that design as "Etho hopper clock". He probably made it popular back then and the name sticked (Much better this way, cause everyone knows what kind of clock is meant)

@@racernatorde5318 i remember watching Etho’s video when it first came out. I think he was actually the original designer of the clock. Hoppers had just come into the game and i didnt see anyone else first. Granted it could be that he was just ONE of the first people to figure it out with the right time on youtube to be popular for it. But i think he is the first to design it, whereas everyone agrees he is the first to popularize it.

@@racernatorde5318 That is the joke. Etho invented it thus many people refers to it as an "Etho Clock". Etho himself however meticulously calls it a "Hopper Clock". This is why I found Mangos middle way funny

Etho clocks are the backbone of redstone. Pretty sure most redstone builds have it.

Also because any other clock is larger and less easy to set and change the cycle length. It actually is ones of the few circuits that are almost 'one-block' solutions (many mods often add) but yeah this all shows how great this innovation and its inventor really is.

Wouldn't that mean that some obsidian would be picked up by the players before reaching the hoppers?

@@LunizIsGlacey I'm actually not sure if the game would prioritize a hopper over a player in terms of picking up items. This idea is half baked and a lazy route around a just as simple solution anyhow.

@@TheAGIGuy I think your idea is a really good one. In my experience (of chasing after items when I accidentally hit Q), the hopper always gets it faster than the player.

@@ceruchi2084 i think it has to do with an item timer, when an item is created i think there is a time where a player can't pick it up, but i'm not sure if that aplies to hoppers and hopper minecarts

Nice idea, though obviously without furnace minecart. Just sending three or four hopper minecarts with some delay between eachother to pick up the items. I am sure there are systems that can tell apart which minecart is the one with the player

Yeah, i knew the hopper could be used for redstone but just learned about etho a couple of month ago. Such a brilliant and entertaining person. Immediately became a fan. His googler (?, the big storage system) is impressive.

When everyone knows what theyre, already have good farm designs and can really REALLY grind the game this is what you get

Thays true but its the only place I think they have enough resources to power the cactus Farm - I just remembered they have the lava farm so maybe they will power it using lava buckets. I'm excited to see how they do it!

@@nostromo6257 They dont really have to wait, they can easily adjust the clock so items arrive faster. I think they will add a beacon sometime in the futute.
