I have some of my best luck at those remote garage sales too. They are usually cheaply priced because they seem to be out of touch with the demand for records. Here we go again! Let's see what's going on here, looks to be a long haul this time... Well, I was doing fine but after you got bogged down with (gasp!) Wendy Bagwell (male or female??), Benny Goodman, Billy Ocean (really?), and Earl Grant (Meh), I nodded out. When I awoke I ran the video back to the pleasant surprise of the Bowie & Stones CDs but that was very brief as I was soon lulled back into the arms of Morpheus again with that long journey through the dreck ...Loved the 45s you found - many were from my neck of the woods. I have The Texans 45 as well as The Music Machine, all those Philly records, and have the LP (great!) containing that Mephistopheles 45. Didn't know the Maureen Reagan and The Beatniks but they look cool as well as the Bob Larson and that adult polka LP! ...but Billy Ocean?? OK, I probably have some records that you wouldn't appreciate so thanks for this strange trip! ...By the way, I used to work in a hospital and yes, many times men do get stiff in the morgue, straight up! Have a nice day!

I never realized Nebraska had so many eagles. That's really cool. I like it when you spot those nests and eagles in trees. And what's up with the river? Are y'all having a bad drought in Nebraska too? Texas, at least in North Texas, has had drought conditions for a long time. But that's wild seeing the river, which looks like a really wide river, so bone dry. Brian in Fort Worth 🎶
@VinylHunter

The Platte river is a very shallow river, but I've never seen it empty before! There's water in it again, but it's still very low! A handful of years ago the Missouri river flooded here very bad! It flooded a lot of surrounding crops. I think lots of fish could be had easily (by eagles) in those flooded fields. I started to see LOTS of eagles around here at that time! I've seen more than 50 eagles gathered together at one time (on multiple occasions). The flooding is gone now, and so are most of the eagles...but, ever since then, there's been way more eagles in the area than there used to be.

I rarely used to see eagles around here...but now there's quite a few! Several years ago the river flooded. It attracted a lot of eagles because they liked the flooded fields...i guess it was easy food for them. During that flooding, sometimes I'd see as many as 50 eagles at one time! Ha! "Polka Shoutout!" Maybe I'll have to make that a regular feature on the channel! 🤣😂🤣 I pass on Mangione records because it's too light jazz for me. Cheers!

21:00 There's something kind of depressing about someone who only had one musical taste and that taste was for polka music. Hahaha! It reminds me of a time when I visited a local Value Village and someone had donated about 50 German beer hall records and I thought, "Who the hell is going to buy these records?" Within minutes of me thinking that, sure enough, some elderly German guy showed up and bought ALL 50 GERMAN BEER HALL RECORDS. So, I had to chuckle. Good for him to give those unsellable records a new home. :)

Yeah! As they say, "there's an ass for every seat" And sometimes i feel like I'm the biggest "ass" of all because a lot of the stuff i like is stuff that not many other people in the vinyl community like. I couldn't imagine listening to just one thing. Many people are so stuck in their listening ways. They still only listen to the same music most of their lives. ie, They had an Eagles record back in the day...then, when CDs were the main format, that bought that same Eagles record on CD...and then recently they bought it on vinyl again. I still love most of the music i listened to in the past, but, for the most part, i don't need to re-buy it again...I've already been-there-done-that. I'm constantly looking in new directions for music...exploring the off-the-beaten-track genres.

@@VinylHunter, yes, that's great, Tuco. You and I both have very eclectic tastes even if you consider yourself a metalhead first just as I'm a soundtrack guy first, but we both enjoy music across various genres and are excited to discover new musical treasures when we're record hunting. That's what truly makes our collections interesting and I think it makes collectors like you and me more interesting too because we can discuss various musical genres or artists. I collect 'Peter and the Wolf' records as a subgenre of classical music due to all of the different narrators and they include: - David Bowie - Sir Alec Guinness (Obi-Wan Kenobi himself) with Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops - Boris Karloff - Sir Sean Connery (a London Phase 4 record) - Peter Ustinov - Jack Lemmon - Leonard Bernstein - Sir Ralph Richardson, etc.
