From a wet Cornwall up a wetter M6 and into a soaking wet SW Scotland in so short a time. Your desire to be out and about is much stronger than ours. Still I am glad you are doing it. Lockerbie is etched into my memory just as Aberfan is. If memory serves me correctly the bomb was timed to go off over the ocean leaving no evidence but the plane had been delayed on its stop over in London. The triangular castle is indeed strange. A rectangular one would have required more building blocks but a circular one might have been more practical. I was very pleased to see preservation work being done. The road into your last campsite seems to be designed to deter visitors. only the most stubborn or determined or desperate shall pass. On to part two......... Regards to all, David.

I was part of the RAF team that helped find bits and pieces at Lockerbie, found some unpleasant stuff. Caer I think is a shared part of lowland and Welsh language.

Just watched part 1 all that rain its a shame Michael hope weather improves soon for you both, I don't know the area at all so I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes, enjoyed the castle and Abbey as a photographer it all very interesting to me, take care best wishes to you both, Colin.( luv the Video).

Fabulous. We got married at Gretna Green in april 1999 25 years ago this month. and stayed at The Somerton House Hotel in Lockerbie and had our reception there. In fact although there were only 19 at the wedding we took over the whole hotel. You passed it at 4.46 into your video on the left. 👍
