The Scottsdales were a luxury neighborhood when it was built. They had a community center and a playground. I worked across the street from there in the 90s and you could hear gunshots every night. All the luxury stuff is gone. Dead bodies were found in the community pool. You could get away with a lot because it takes the police forever to get inside

Don't judge a book by its cover. This neighborhood might look nice in the video but this is legit the hood. Everyone our city knows Scottsdale for its notorious past. I been living in here basically my whole life and I've seen shit go down right in front of me from gang fights, drive by shootings and dead bodies. And I'm only 20 years old.

I grew up in the neighborhood. What they call the del lamo. It's a middle class neighborhood (suburbia) why on earth would any of these young men decide to gang bang is beyond me. I was their from 1964 till about 88. I even purchased my first home their. I still have relatives their, and I've heard the area has changed for the worst. I only hope these brothers wake up before it's too late. Their is opportunity all around for advancement.

you gotta understand the history of a lot of these l.a. area gangs. Most of them sprang up in the late 70's, early and mid 80's. Gang banging was a fad that was historically out of control at the time.Some gangs in so called nice neighborhoods formed simply as a social clubs to protect the neighborhood kids from the bad kids from rougher neighborhoods. Some of these hoods still exist today after 30 years of existence, most completely separated from their original intent.
