In this video I scrap a Cuisinart food processor for copper, brass, aluminum and steel.
Curious how much microwaves are actually worth as scrap?

Hello, I am from Alabama, I enjoy watching your videos. I have learned a lot from you and a few others. I love finding things on the side of the road and taking it all apart for the copper, brass, aluminum and other metals. I have gotten my husband into going and finding it with me, he just isn't into breaking it down, he would just take it all to the scrap yard like it is if it wasn't for me. I hope to start recording some videos myself, soon. I just have to learn how to make and edit videos and not be shy. Thank you for sharing your videos.

Lately I’ve discovered to skip the step of cutting off plug ends. Instead I use the same method of pliers to hold plug in one hand and dull wire cutters to pinch and roll the brass prongs out and just tears the prong from the copper wire. I don’t necessarily need to cut ends off for my scrapyard, but I like the brass bits.

Greetings from northern Sweden and a fellow scrapper. Don't we all love Hammer Time😂 Capacitors like that I put with Dirty Aluminium, pays better then shred. Also, I use two yards depending on what material I have, one yard gives me prepared steel price for nuts and bolts, screws and any clean steel so to say. Scrapping for me is Theraputic Escapism and I admit it has put food on the table a few times. I also use my scrap steel weight for fuel in the car, not much to the lbs but it helps. Stay safe and take care.

Thank you! I personally have not done anything myself but collect them. I’m hoping to send them to my friend to refund using acids. Thank you for watching.

I'm surprised you so shred capacitors they are aluminum most of the time. My yard takes them as sheet aluminum

Really? You’re the first person to ever say their yard pays sheet aluminum for them. Most yards won’t even buy them as dirty aluminum and some yards don’t even want them as shred. Where are you located if you don’t mind me asking?

What do you do with the copper out of the switches with the silver contacts on them?

I remove the contacts from them, then I add the copper or brass to my collection. Thank you for watching.

Good Job. I enjoyed watching your video as I do the same thing. What I loved the most id your conviction to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God bless you! I too will pray for Adam.
