The round cylindrical thing with the wires is called a Start Capacitor and they will hold high voltage electricity long after they've been unplugged. Be careful of capacitors. Short them together with a screwdriver or something first thing...

When I was a kid back in the nineties. We had several guys around here that scraped full time. Ahhhh...to go back! I know I can't. Sure do miss ..... great video man. Keep it up!! I scrap my tail off round here. In my spare time. I pour concrete walls for my slave trade...I get a bunch of shit from the guys when I pick up the broke off wall ties after we pour and strip. Sure...those pieces don't mean much one at a time but at the end of the year...a nice little chunk of change. I enjoy scraping as well. I seriously like to did through junk looking for treasures. I started to laugh when you were thinking about using the hoist to put it on the table, I do similar stuff all the time because I don't like bending over. lol In situations like this I would use a step stool or something to flip the unit on to gain height all while not actually picking the hole weight of the unit up then flip it on to the table. nice video

Definitely! The days of bending over are gone! Smarter.... Not harder! It's a deceiving way to plan, lol. When I was in my teens and early 20s I was of the opinion that faster is smarter. Lifting heavy with horrible technique. Watching blacksmithing videos across the pond in places like India where the dude squats hours on end with coke forges... Get sore just watching them, lol.

I have learned quite a bit from your contents. I am a hobbyist scraper. Gives me something to do to relax. I use a angle grinder with a thin blade to cut metal. It will whip right through the copper pipes and less jarring. I'd like to see how you cut down the compressor from the A/C unit. I make 3 cuts, but always interested in how others do it. I get about 6 pounds of copper from one. I like to know what metals are available from these, as I am still learning. Thank you again!

@@Okiescrapper yeah, great idea. Keeping a lid on your forge/furnace will help you get the temp up hotter and faster. Aluminum and copper melt at just under 2000 degrees. Bronze and brass are much hotter and you have to be careful Bc you’ll loose the tin out of them so you have to add flux like borax and watch the temperature with a eagles eye. Good luck and I’m looking forward to seeing more great videos from ya Bc I’m learning by watching your progress as I go along!! ❤️💪🏼💪🏼👍🏻🤣🔥🔥🔥
