Sidney's (Neve Campbell) escape from the Ghostface Killer is only momentary as he murders Kenny (W. Earl Brown) the cameraman right before her very eyes.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Scream is at once a slasher film and a tongue-in-cheek position paper on the "dead teenagers" movies of the late 1970s/early 1980s that plays as half-parody, half-tribute. Sydney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is having a rough time lately: she's still getting over the brutal rape and murder of her mother a year ago, and now one of her friends (Drew Barrymore) has been killed by a lunatic who harassed her with terrifying phone calls, then stabbed her to death while wearing a Halloween costume. Soon Sydney is receiving similar phone calls, quizzing her on the arcane details of such films as Friday the 13th and Prom Night, and is attacked by the same cloaked maniac. With her father missing, she has hardly anyone on her side except her best friend Tatum (Rose McGowan) and Tatum's brother Dewey (David Arquette), a half-bright cop. As for the murderer, it could be any number of people: Syd's father; her cute but overly intense boyfriend Billy (Skeet Ullrich); Tatum's goofball boyfriend Stuart (Matthew Lillard); or Randy (Jamie Kennedy), who works at the local video store and seems to like horror movies just a little too much. Much like Halloween, Scream spawned a series of sequels and inspired a large number of similar films -- its original working title, Scary Movie, became the title of the 2000 parody film by Damon Wayans.

I always felt bad for Kenny, the cameraman. He tried to help her, even when his throat was slit, he motioned to the door for her escape. At least that's how I saw it. And before that, he ripped the van door open to try to help Randy before realizing the delay. RIP Kenny. Get off my fuckin' windshield.

Mister Explicit, vice versa. Remember it was Stu who attacked Billy in the bedroom. It was Stu who came close to stabbing Randy when he was watching Halloween. Billy was still upstairs at that time. Stu killed Kenny as well. Stu did everything after attacking Billy

***** No, Billy killed Tatum. Stu was in the house attending the party when Tatum was attacked. Notice that Stu never left the house because the killer went under the garage door leaving Tatum hanging. That's how Billy got to the front door after killing Tatum. He came from inside the house, but he was hiding in the back so he can sneak into the garage and escape to get to the front door after taking the costume off

The funniest part about this scene is that the Ghostface that sneaks up behind Randy is generally considered to be Stu, due to the way that he holds his knife, two handed, above his head. However in real life the one in the costume was actually Skeet Ulrich, who plays Billy.

So my take is that IS Billy because of the two, Billy always moves like he is stalking something, whereas Stu is always more physical and sprinting towards his victims. Note the reveal scene and how Billy moves toward Sidney.

You know what I love about this scene? After Kenny gets his throat slit, at 1:26 he uses his last words to help her. Its faint but you can hear him say "The door." And he points to the small hatch. Even in death he helped saved Sid from the clumsiest serial killer in existence.

Both Skeet and Stu were able to wear the costume. When you see ghostface appear behind Randy without watching it I believe it may have been Stu since he held the knife how his character did. When we see it again through the camera in the news van, the movement is very different. This could’ve been Billy since he had the knife held in one hand. Either way they both got to wear the costume for this specific scene i just can’t 100% give an answer to who was under it when shooting the scene but I believe my theory is accurate as it can get.

As funny as that scene was, I don't think they should've exonerated Randy too early on in the movie. The more possible suspects they have until the final revelation, the better.

Nah that was Stu, Billy was upstairs playing dead. Stu was goofy so he prolly thought he was gonna get him later but I thought that too.
