***** In my opinion, the first Land Before Time film was just heart wrenching. The loss of Little Foot's parents and the utter destruction of the landscape gave such a sad feel to the movie. And when he tries to chase the ghost of his dead mom but can't reach it... it made me understand the harshness and finality of death much earlier than some other kids. And even at the end when they find the Great Valley, I understood as a kid that everything wasn't just like it was before. These dinosaurs still lost their families and the majority of the world was in shambles, but they had to keep on living and move forward regardless. A really great film.

I saw that movie when i was about seven years old and i thought nothing off it actually . In fact i thought it was a fun ride and willie wonka wanted to freak him out a bit . But what did freak me out was when near the ending wonka flipped out and started screaming . at that point it hit me that willie wonka was fucking insane . This whole time i thought he was goofing around with these people because they were a bunch off assholes . But when he flipped out i realized that he generally just endangered these peoples lifes . Like they could've died and he wouldnt really have cared . I thought he had everything under control but he didn't and thats what made the tunnel scene allot more freaky for me . Because i thought at first that he was just joking around

Book of Sam I Tells ya why, because we are sick of Nick playing the rock card ffs. Not even for the win. It's a no brainer, no way in shape or form should Rock even belong in Star Wars. I want my star wars to be original as fuck, not another movie "The Rock" was in, there are other movies for him out there to Rock all over. BIG FAT NO FOR YOU NICK, frankly I'm disappointed in you for even mentioning it. KISS-ASS, that's Nick's super hero name.

The most traumatizing kid's movie for me would have been "The Witches" based on a book by Roald Dahl and starring Anjelica Huston. The plot's about a kid who is raised by his loving grandma, I vaguely remember the reason why, but I think because his parents were killed by witches. And his grandma is one of few people on the planet who know that witches are real and she also has had encounters, in which she lost one of her fingers. And she tells his grandson how to identify witches, because they look like normal women of course. You basically have to look them deep in the eyes to see their glistening purple iris. And THAT's only the premise of the movie.. The most terrifying thing is when the grandson sneaks into the witch convention, where they all meet to forge a plan to poison the world. And the witches wear masks to look like normal women, and they show how uncomfortable it is for them to wear the masks and that it itches increadibly and they get itchy rash on their skin. And then there's that scene, when they take off their human-like masks! I tell you that much, when you see that scene as a kid, you will not sleep as tight anymore as you did before! And the kid is turned into a mouse, and all that jazz. Man, It's basically a horror movie, with a fucking PG rating. Thanks Hollywood

The most terrifying childrens movie for me was Return to Oz, in the beginning they had Dorathy bound to a bed, she was all sweaty, an couldn't move, I remember panicking cause it looked like she was burning up, an would be unable to scratch her nose or face if it itched. The witch who had all the different heads was scary as fuck, she wanted Dorathy's head. When she had to select the certain gems an items to Say "Oz" over, her friends life's were literally in her hands. The bed moose they built to fly came alive and was destroyed, an his head still talked. Plus the wheeller monkeys freaked me out so much that my favorite animals became potential kid nappers. Most terrifying kids movie ever...

I think the most traumatizing kids movie is still Disney's Pinocchio, you have the crazy yelling puppetmaster who locks Pinocchio in a cage to be his performer, (and threatens to chop him into firewood when he gets too old), the end sequence with the whale which is pretty intense even today, and of course the infamous "Pleasure Island" sequence where all these young boys are transformed in donkeys and sold into slavery just for drinking, smoking and shooting pool! The silhouette transformation of Lampwick into a donkey where he screams for his mother and then starts crashing around the room is still one of the most disturbing animated sequences... rewatching it as an adult, the thing that is the most upsetting is knowing that none of the other boy-donkeys are rescued and will die enslaved in the salt mines, and it's one of the extremely rare movies where none of the villains get any form of comeuppance... I don't think you'd be able to make an animated movie like that today...

Most traumatizing kid's movie is Watership Down, no doubt. Mass rabbit death in the first few minutes, visions of waves of blood, and of course "Runs blocked with dead bodies!". That's just the first half. Tust me, there's a LOT more.

I'm surprised no one mentioned as most traumatising movie for kids The Never Ending Story. That has to be the most depressing movie I have ever seen. The horse death alone trumps anything in Roger Rabbit, Transformers or Willy Wonka. And 2013 best movie I would have gone with my personal favorite "Her", but there was also "Gravity" and "12 Years a Slave".

Ha ha ha, you went with Nick's idea for Lando's kid played by the Rock. That was easily the worst idea of the bunch. You gave it points for being new!? It's the child of another character from the original trilogy. Aren't we getting that already? Is that original? No. Fassbender as Kanan is the best choice. Kanan is a new character. He was added to the canon recently and fleshed out nicely in the book A New Dawn. He is a strong a deep character that Fassbender would be excellent as.

The Amazing Spider Man 2 was not a bad movie, I honestly believe after watching the film countless more times that people really missed the point of the story, and actually how well written it was, especially when compared to the atrocious Avengers Age of Ultron. It was a great story about how Peter Parker's choices ultimately resulting in his ultimate failure which was Gwen's death, the first movie was about him becoming Spider Man, The Amazing Spider Man 2 was about Peter learning what being Spider Man means, for both him and the ones he cares about. And every other characters story/subplot whether it be Gwen, Max, Harry, Peter's Parents or Aunt May, support this main story through how Peter's choices effect everyone, and the use of strong and compelling themes that the movie seamlessly incorporates such as Time, Loss, Loneliness, and Abandonment. Like the movie opening with the gears of a watch, and ending in a clock tower. Every character has lost someone important in their life with only one or no parental figure, all the characters feel lonely and let down by someone that they love or thought they could count on. Might I also point out that the acting was fantastic from everyone, Andrew Garfield was the perfect Spider Man/Peter Parker, Emma Stone was incredible and her and Garfield together, BAM best superhero couple ever. Jamie Foxx was great as Electro, the character was tragic and had a real creepy edge to him that made him kind of scary because of being such a mental nut job, and since he gains supernatural abilities it's natural that those mental feelings will heighten, Dane Dehaan was great as Harry Osborn conveying the torment and jealousy of the character, and I loved how he wasn't rushed throughout the film, he had a very natural character arc of just being a scared kid who didn't want to die, and resorted to violent means to get what he wanted, it's only when he has nothing left that he finally becomes a villain and goes after Spider Man because Spider Man was the one who denied him a chance at life, he wasn't a villain till he got the Goblin Suit, and Paul Giamatti did a wicked job, hamming it up at the right level, because Rhino is just a cartoonish villain, what more is there to say? Aha! But Rhino actually DID serve his purpose and supported the story of Peter Parker, showing up at the beginning and the end giving him a mini arc, and completing Peter's arc. Which is also why I feel that the complaint of the movie being nothing but a set up movie is bullshit, because that only happened at the end of the film and they used it in service to characters and story. The special effects were incredible, the action was great, and unlike a lot of Superhero films, it only had action to in service to drive forward story and character motivation, it didn't just have action scenes to drag out the film longer because the film needed action (;cough; Guardians of the Galaxy). The Amazing Spider Man 2 was a great movie, with an intelligent screenplay, great story, layered characters, compelling themes, and terrific action and effects, yeah I'm so sure that's a bad movie. Now the marketing was utter shit, no arguments there, but that doesn't make the movie bad, that's the marketings fault, not the movies fault, and the writers of TASM2 in the film commentary will attest to that. It's such a shame that TASM3 got cancelled, now I won't continue to see mature, bold and thematic storytelling, with layered characters in a complex narrative with subtle and natural character development. Superhero films in cinema is reduced to dumbed down spell everything out for the audience Age of Ultron type films, fucking Bravo people, fucking bravo!

the problem with the amazing spiderman 2 is that it was well written but the subplots just murdered this movie, I agree with you most of the argument, I haven't seen such character development in awhile, I wish that was the focus of the movie and the villains be just side villains and the main villain is Oscorp but no, they expected that to follow up the third movie and now its cancelled, it was a total waste of time and money for them, if they left this franchise go along, the third movie would've surpassed the last two movies like Indiana Jones and the last crusaider did

2013 was a great year : 12 years a slave, her, the wolf of wall street, gravity, pacific rim, mud, Dallas buyer's club, blue jasmine, fruitvalle station, star trek into darkness, the way way back, the conjuring, Philomena, the kings of summer... I have to admit that thinking about them on the spot was really hard. Off top of my head I could only came up with some of the ones that were nominated for the Oscars, after remembering which one won, the others came to mind easily. But must of the ones I mentioned I had to go back and research them.

I like how, after Andy mispronounced "Rocha" at the beginning of the show, he kept saying it correctly as many times as he could throughout the rest of the show (eg referring to him as "Mr. Rocha" instead of "John"). This was a very enjoyable Movie Fights episode to watch. Mr. Rocha (haha) and Jon Schnepp really knew their stuff and you could tell they really cared about their arguments. It's much more fun to watch when the competitors actually care about what they're talking about. Rocha was especially impressive considering that, not only was it his first time competing, but he only had an hour to prepare.
