I had the same issue with the micro Komodo. I broke every drive shaft that I put on it and when I went to the stainless steel drive shaft that’s when it started breaking dog bones. When I put beefy dog bones in and eventually cvds then it started stripping the transmission and the spur gear and I had a injora trans so I fixed everything and put all stainless steel everything and now the motor will cog down if it’s in a bind instead of breaking everything else. I would much rather have a cheaper weak point like axle shafts but I got tired of breaking and buying new parts so I just try to take it easy with the micro Komodo and I dog out the crawlers that have the OG Komodo and brushed motors. I want to try the new cedar motor but I don’t want to front the bill for broken parts so the micro Komodo is it for me. I know I have spent over $1500 on that 1 truck that I run the micro in. I could’ve built 2 or 3 trucks for that same price. I won’t run portals on anything I have either because I spent way too much money trying to fix every little problem with the set I had and finally I just gave them to a friend. He said all portals are a money pit and I believe him.
