Great video as always. I have always considered the Sebo Felix to be the best vacuum for small apartments like mine. It does not take up much room in the closet. Does a great job of cleaning. I like having the upright and not to have to deal with a hose and the vacuum on the end of it. Somehow the hose seems to knock stuff over. It is also a quiet vacuum which my neighbors appreciate. It may be an old design, but it is one Sebo got right.

My son bought me the dog and cat Miele 3 vacuum for Christmas, and it did a good job, but I don’t like lugging around a canister vacuum. So as I mentioned in a previous comment I was doing research for a good vacuum . Well we returned the Miele because it was a canister and bought the Sebo Felix . Can’t believe the difference. Made my rug look like it was just put down! Love this vacuum! Now I will definitely buy the cream color rug when I move . Thank you for your review ! 🌸🌸🌸 PS I do recommend buying the extension hose cause the hose it comes with is really short!

The package with the extension hose and extra parts is a game changer! I couldn't live without the extension hose and tube!

Is it annoying to deal with an extended hose while vacuuming? I often use the crevice tool off and on during vacuuming and I don’t want to have to reattach the extension each time.

I think individual dog hairs would b better or as individual as u can get because I find clumps catch the air like a sail but find the individual hairs more resistant to the force of the air . Sand would also b a great thing to add with the flour and the cat liter material as every time I have had new carpet installed what I find under the old carpet is sand that has made its way to the bottom predominantly along with smaller amounts of other material, 👍

What height setting should be used if the warning light doesn't come on on any? Does it clean efficiency on each setting?

Great video, and thank you for the assembly instructions. I do have one question about this unit though: How well would it do with road dust that is the consistency of powdered sugar? My parents live up on a mountain where fine road dust comes into the house on a daily basis, especially in the summertime, and there current vacuum cleaner struggles with it. Right now they have a Riccar that performs well on an empty bag, but loses about half of its airflow and water lift by the time you vacuum the main area once or twice. Is the Felix’s top fill airflow design capable of keeping up with bags that fill up rapidly with sand and fine road dust? I’ve been thinking about getting them the Felix, but I wanted to make sure it would suit their situation before I purchased it.

Yes I have the Batman and Robin of vacs, Miele C1 Homecare Powerline and a Sebo Felix. No room for dirt in Gotham. Bring in the Bissell BG10 when air support is needed :-)

@@kaiwoolner-pratt9196 What did you end up getting? I think the Miele has a headlight and sebo s don't seem to add that feature which I think really helps you navigate to the particles that need picking up that you may miss visually.

@@kaiwoolner-pratt9196I would go for the Miele c3 because of it's canister design and easy on board storage but if the Felix is cheaper get the Felix. IMO canisters are better because they usually have way stronger motors in them and you can easily swap out the heads and clean underneath things.

I know this isn't a central vac video but I have a question about them, is it possible to instal direct connect outlets in a already existing home? Im ok with Pigtail outlets but I would prefer direct connect.

I am really grateful for this video. This might just be the vacuum I am looking for. We have all vinyl plank flooring, mountains of hair from two labradors,and I need a canister for upholstery and high places,but like the ease of vacuuming all the floors with an upright. I am blind so I cannot see the tools that you are referring to. Which tool are you removing the front brush from? Thanks so much.

Since I am blind, I can't see which tool you are removing the front brush strip from. Are you removing it from the power head? Am I right that this power head with brush turned off will be the best tool for massive mountains of two Labrador's worth of clumpy hair on bare floor? So excited that I am nearing my solution for a new vacuum because of all of your videos! Thank you so much!

How would you rate this in comparison the a Lindhaus F5 (HEPA bag) for mostly hard floor with some rugs?

I'm torn between this and a sebo e3. The thing that stops me is I have pets and carpeted stairs. So I felt like being able to use the handheld turbo brush on the e3 would be necessary. Which I don't think the felix can do? Is it possible to purchase the powered hose from the e3 and connect it so you can use the turbo brush?

The E3 is a premium product. With all the features. The SEBO Felix is a mid-level upright. Yes you can detach the hose and add a turbo brush I do mention this in the video at some point during the stair cleaning section. However if you have stairs any canister will be better than an upright.

Do you think the Felix's bare floor tool is better than the swivel neck brushes for the Miele's?

Yes I do prefer it because it has wheels front and back and the removable brush strip. But the Miele parquet tools swivels better than anything else on the market.

The SEBO will stand on its own with the power head attached with the bare floor attachment it was designed to be hung on a hook originally so it does not stand on its own with the bare floor attachment.

You can try a soft brush roller on the highest setting I've had mixed results with that depending on the rug. amzn.to/3kCtSBZ

My sebo arrived, put it together and it wont run, the red and amber light is on constantly and we have tried every setting to see what the problem is! So disappointed I think it is faulty

Yes it's the same machine without the 10-year warranty. I believe you might not get some of the hand tools. There is a chart on /r/vacuumcleaners that explains the differences.

The Felix vs the Dart for wall to wall carpet in 80% of a 1100 sqft condo? The kitchen and 2 bathrooms are the only places without carpet: they have tile/lvp.

@@billfrigo7602 Thank you, it looks like they discontinued the Onyx. However, the Sebo Felix Premium is like the onyx but with half the warranty. I'm not sure if it's a lesser grade or what... Ordered it.

The Onyx is not discontinued, that one is only sold through authorized SEBO dealers. However, if you buy any Felix at an authorized SEBO dealer regardless of which color, you'll get the same 10/10/7 year warranty as the Onyx. And there really is no difference between the Onyx and the other colors. But if you buy online, you'll only get a 7/5/5 year warranty except for the Onyx.

Hi man, sorry for the long comment. How does the Felix compare to the X7 Pet. I'm going to buy one of the two because of the excellent build quality i keep hearing about. Initially i thought this was the X7's little brother. What with the X7 having all the extras and long hose. I will be using this for cleaning my bedroom carpet and the carpet on my stairs. Downstairs is all hard wood flooring. Not sure which one to get . Am i correct... Felix is A grade for carpet cleaning and the X7 is D grade for carpet cleaning right? But isn't the X7 more expensive? I can't find any rating specifications on any website or Amazon, but i have seen a website saying this felix is budget but lacks performance compared to X7 which doesn't make sense. Im confused Please help.

If you have a lot of hard floor you want to go with the Felix or a canister model. The ability to shut the brush roller off or switch to a hardwood floor to wall will be invaluable to you. both of Felix in the X7 at least in the United States clean carpet about the same. With the X7 your playing for the ease of not having to adjust anything.
