This is an amazing documentary. The people are real and their struggles are so true. I have been in supervision for around 20 years and this epidemic is just destroying so many people, families and children lives. God Bless all of those working toward a solution and for all of those brave addicts who are choosing to share their stories. I believe in giving people a second chance…..and some cases a 3 rd chance. When I start to question people is when I see so many people offered so many chances and they blow it. Everyone has their rock bottom and I’m often surprised at how low they go before realizing this is not working. I think one of the places these things need to be addressed is where the laws are made and the punishment for drug dealers. And so many who are arrested get off with nothing and sent right back to the streets. It’s such a horrible place to be. There are so many who are addicts and need help but how far do you go in trying to help someone? How many chances does one person get? And along with the drugs there’s alcohol to be dealt with. And then the babies start doing along…..how much do they have to suffer because of the choices their parents make? Kids don’t ask for this lifestyle. A person has to own up to what they are doing and work harder than they’ve ever worked. Life is never easy for anyone….we all have struggles and things we really don’t want to go through. Having money does not mean an easy life…in some ways yes but in other ways no. How many resources do you use up for those who are not working any programs? I don’t just say these things I’ve lived them.

How many resources do we use? How about we take just ten percent of the dozens of billions of dollars we spend on police, enforcement and prisons. Sending a dealer to jail for five years costs MILLIONS of dollars!
