The first part (0:00 - 7:13) was my Second ride ever on a EUC. This time I borrowed Rick's Gotway Tesla while Rick was riding his new MSP.
I had under a half hour of ride time total experience with EUC’s as I filmed this.

The SECOND part of this video (7:15 - 10:19) is the first time I filmed myself on my new Gotway Nikola+. It was at a Group Ride where we took the train all the way to the Indiana Dunes and rode back to Chicago. We went 71 Miles total on our wheels that day. I didn’t film much but was able to make the short edit for fun.

Jimmy Chang I can agree to that, I had seen a onewheel years ago but it never clicked in my head as cool. Fast forward to watching Stroh rip around Chicago and my mind was blown 🤯 but truth be told, I’m no badass dare devil, so watching your videos offered me perspective and knowledge that made me feel like it was a reasonable purchase to pursue and within reason to ride safely thanks to your tutorials and reviews. So while Stroh maybe be a pioneer who paved the way for OneWheel, in my eyes you stand equally as tall. I can only hope to create content as meaningful and impactful as you both. Thank you both for bringing such joy into my life.

Oh $hit! The beginning of a new era! SlyDog you're a huge part of the reason I got my Onewheel, and my Onehweel led me down the EV rabbit-hole which ended with EUC. I still love my XR and ride it every week, but I'm racking up lots of miles on my EUC as well. As you've experienced yourself, the range and power is really addicting. Looking forward to more vids from you man! Onewheel peeps gonna have to stop talking &hit about EUC now boi 😄

slydogstroh ah, don’t laugh at it, since you did have a huge hand in helping to create that cult-like culture with your exciting videos and style on the ow, which definitely sold boards and showed riders how cool they could look on one. It’s just people tend to have different levels of loyalty to the things they love and the competition exists for the same reason we have sports. Now, if you make the euc look as good as you made the ow look, I might be in and the ol ow might collect a little dust 😂

Hi Slydog, I could tell already that you're bringing your Slydog moves to the EUC. I also recently started riding an EUC from the Onewheel ( I still ride the Onewheel too) and I decided on the Tesla a couple of months ago. It's been great. Good luck on it, but I don't think you need too much luck your way ahead of the learning curve!

I couldn't see the appeal of EUC's but I was out on my XR and met 3 guys riding them. Joined them for a ride and they were just amazing to watch, flying up and down everything, ploughing along trails. And now I have to get one too.

Cool to see that other EV are fun to you as well. I envy the specs of an EUC compared to a onewheel so much. But I am a snowboarder. So the stance and ride feel of an EUC will never be as much fun to me as boarding sideways.

Yeah, the specs of these things are undeniable. That's something I have to give the EUC. I want the OW to be able to hit a good 35mph and have a 50 mile range. And I'd probably be set. Any more and the device can get too heavy, and I want it to be light so I can one day use it to catch air.

@@anne-marie1039 Sounds cool. I have an XR but I spoke to someone who makes extended batteries to double the range of the XR as well. In regards to the speed, I think 35 should be perfectly suitable for me. Honestly I don't need it to go faster and I'll probably never even use that top speed, but I like the option to do so ;).

The more you ride, the more you adapt and it just because part of your flow, like what they were saying about Tishawn. Of course you can ride straight and chill out, but for me that only happens when im really chilling or tired. Its just gonna grow with you. And good shit on those stairs, man, h aha.

Another convert!haha. I recently picked up and am learning how to ride an EUC as well. I've rode an XR for a while now, but the range/speed/torque/portability and versatility of these wheels was just such a strong draw! Never thought i'd say it, bit i'm pretty sure i'm selling my Onewheel. I haven't touched it since getting on my EUC and already have another model with suspension on preorder, the Inmotion V11 😅 Looking forward to more EUC content, you look amazing on them already!

Good to see that you are doing good slydog. I’m a dad that has a teen daughter and a son in his 20’s. You, Jimmy, Mario, Dallas are the reason I got into Onewheel. In the time span of 2 months I’ve managed to buy 2 pints and 2 XR’s. Reason I got addicted to it is just the fun factor, don’t need it for transportation. I know it sucks that you were not invited to the race but as an ambassador it would have been better for your brand to just support whoever got invited. My neighbor has an euc and occasionally we do ride together and no love lost between us, he loves his euc I love my OW’s. Side note: I played Paintball and travelled around the country to compete. There were no great ambassadors to the sport, instead bunch of PRO’s that cheat and overshoots kids and I believe it’s one of the biggest thing that killed the sport. I manage over 50 adults in the automotive field and no matter how hard I tried to make everyone happy there’s always going to be someone left out. As a floater I can’t thank you enough for helping me get addicted to OW but as a dad, I think you could have handled the “dis” better. We as fans will never know the reasons why FM did not invite you; pretty sure they looked at real world matrix such as sales. You, Mario, Jimmy, Dallas have helped FM sales but there’s no real matrix to see not like TFL, were they can see sales generated via records. As a manager, just don’t burn too much bridges because sometimes we have to cross those broken bridges again as long as they are not burnt to the ground. Still love you though man, I know you’ll succeed on whatever path you choose....no love list here, in fact I’m giving you more love. Thank you again brother.

@@masterDarts4188 they've been ass to accessory manufacturers and customers abroad who need their vehicles serviced. They've also dropped the ball on range and performance while EUC manufacturers are now coming out with adjustable suspensions and >60km/h >100km range models (not the same model, but two different ends of the spectrum)

@@PavelShevchuk I see, I've been hearing alot stories about how FM has really bad customer service. Hopefully that's something they can get under control in the near future. Because they will need the trust and approval of the consumers if they hope too make their device a competitor in the future. I kind of have to push back on your second point however. There are multiple EUC manufactures where as there is just one FM and the design of the devices are very different. Not to mention the OW is relatively new, so expecting it to just match the EUC in range and speed, despite the vast differences is a bit unrealistic. EUC's came out quite some time before the OW and has had more time to perfect it's designs from many different companies working to modify it.

I had a OW for 2 months and converted to EUC. I got so much hate from the OW community for switching to EUC and talking about the difference, It was Like coming out as gay in the 80’s. I Guess it helps to be Sly Dog though! :) Congrats man. I Loved your OW vids when I was into that. Get your chops up on the EUC and show us what you got. It’s nice to know I could outperform you on a EUC for the moment.. :) But I’m sure that won’t last. I hope you Help us make the EUC cool.. EUC is a superior vehicle in every way accept 1 way, and that is only fashion.

I highly recommend armoring up if you’re going to ride EUCs on a regular basis - even if you don’t fall hard or often, it’ll help with ease of mind.

It is great to see you enjoy something like that. You are amazing given it is your second ride. I loved watching your Onewheel videos and I never got into the XR like I am trying to get into the EUC. I have 4 hours of ride time so far and I am just feeling comfortable mounting and dismounting consistently. It has the same hands free joy of the Onewheel and is like asphalt skiing as opposed to asphalt snowboard. I picked up an MTen3 micro EUC to practice on and it is a fun little EUC. I just want to get a bigger one so I can feel more comfortable above 15MPH. I am tempted to sell my XR to fund my next EUC but my daughter would kill me. She loves riding the XR and asks about it whenever we head out to a park. I go on big group rides now with Alien Rides and his gang in San Francisco. I do whatever I can to re-arrange Saturday plans so I can get out on the ride. It is addicting and fun. For fast and long range rides in San Francisco Onewheels just don't cut it. I prefer power scooters and eventually I can see riding an EUC. I will definitely be picking up a higher end EUC once my skills justify the ride. I ride just like you with my left foot a bit more forward compared to my right foot. It seems to be my natural foot placement.

I don't know why, but even Slydog can't get me excited about an EUC. I've been watching all the vids and I just don't feel anything. 🤷🏿♂️ I'm thinking at this point maybe I just need to get one and see for myself how I feel about it.

@Nero_Life Honestly I think the reason I don't care for it, is because I think it would be better to just get a maxi scooter. The EUC doesn't really do it for me because a maxi scooter just makes more sense.

I've seen a ton of videos on it, and i've watched a bunch of people ride it, and I've been a fan of Slydog for a year now. But even his video didn't get me excited. That's kind of why i'm just saying, for me personally, I don't think it's my thing. But if other people love it, it's all good man. I'm not trying to harp on anybodies good time. I think the only thing that might change my mind is to just ride one for myself. But, like I said, I already have a OW. And I just don't see what getting an EUC would add. People tell me it's faster and can go farther. Which it clearly can. But honestly, Maxi Scooters can go faster and farther then both devices, and they have storage compartments so....I'm more interested in that.

I ended up going with the onewheel. I only found out about how future motion is fucking up their customers only after i had gotten it, i was heavily considering an EUC piro to the onewheel, i was going to get the inmotion v11 but no exact time of ETA and plus the Black Friday sale from FM i got the onewheel... I’ll get an EUC later, I’ll enjoy my XR in the mean time until i get comfortable with PEV and their speed.

Riding a Onewheel is harder on my knee forsure. I'm fine either way but I'll feel a LOT more sore after a 100 mile day riding Onewheels than a 100 miler riding EUC. Would also take a lot longer to do that 100 miles on Onewheels obviously hah.

EUC....Speedboats, fast, turns on a dime OW XR.... wave runners , easy to learn OW pint...jet ski, feels unstable but quick not fast quick.

I have a KingSong KS14c 800w 680wh collecting dust because of a flat tire and whatnot that I haven't fixed since I have been riding the 1wheel, but Sly has me thinking here- why not fire her back up? The Kingsong I have is pretty powerful. I remember how hard the mount maneuver was for me at 1st. Then it got better once that was down. Thing is, they DO LOOK STUPID as hell, and nobody can look cool on those things! They are just idiotic looking, dorky looking, and nothing can change that. If one doesn't care they look like an idiot riding them, then no big deal. I didn't care myself when I rode it and wouldn't care now if I ride one, but I never liked how the ride felt, for some reason. As much as I hate FM, I love how the board rides. Good to see you making vids again!

Nooooooooo! 👀 Its a real shame if FM have ticked you off somehow man, your videos must have sold half their Onewheels over the last few years. I would expect them to treat you like some sort of national treasure! For sure I love your content and will enjoy your riding, cool edits and great tunes anyway, no matter what you ride. I used to ride a Onewheel xr, and mock those who rides an euc. Now I ride both. Please embrace both. OW is more fun, euc is raw power. It is hard to go back to ow for commute once you've ridden a 50km/h euc, yet nothing can replace the ow stoke.
