It can manifest into what appears to be a narcissistic sociopathathic disorder, sometimes with verbal or physical abuse, or treating men as disposable. Leading to the majority of divorce cases issued by women. The trough of marriage and fertility rates when men don't meet their expectations. Add in an inflated ego from all the attention women get from dating apps and the hook up culture we live in, helps to create that narcissistic sociopath disorder. To fix this, feminism should be more emphatic to men, closer to how men are constantly taught to be more emphatic to women's issues. I don't think that should or can be done under the banner of feminism either.

Women understand that they will always be protected in any situation that it's become a my word vs your word type of a situation. This is the kind of environment that not only facilitates but encourages abuse.

After all, the sooner they find a resolution for you, you stop paying them. Why would they do that? It sounds cynical, but really, think about it...

At least you know that deep down she's far more miserable than she could ever attempt to make you. Nasty people are never internally happy. Nice and generous people may be able to suffer abuse and sadness but once you're out of that situation you will actually be capable of happiness that your abuser could never experience. She was trying to drag you down to her level. I bet even at the worst of it you could still find some reasons to smile and laugh here and there. She on the other hand was always miserable and always will be.

So I was living with this woman and I knew I had to go but I knew she would freak out if she knew I was leaving. The next morning when she went to work I had four of my friends come over and we loaded a U-Haul truck fast as hell lol. She came home absolutely confused to see all my stuff gone. I had a video recording of a woman punching me in the face. I took it to police to have her charged with assault but they would not even take my statement. Its still a great idea to record abusive partners, to protect yourself.

I don't think that's right. There are people confident enough in themselves and experienced enough with relationships/the nature of people, that they just won't accept an abusive relationship because they see the other person for what they are.

So you're blaming the victim without actually knowing the story. At the same time, you're not going to break up a relationship over a single insult, so the question is, where does one draw the line? For a lot of people, especially decent secure people who haven't gotten an incline what's abuse, it takes a while to assess when it's becoming abusive. They give their lover the benefit of the doubt until they're either fed up with it or educated by video's like this, also most likely she didn't hit him on the first date. These things grow worse over time...in the beginning they're always sweet like an angel, once you become attached or invested, things start trickling down hill until it becomes a torrent of abuse.

Nope, no rats size gobs of hair to pull out of the drain. A bar of soap and one, yes, only one bottle of shampoo. Some day I might date again. When I decide that I no longer value peace and want to invite turbulence into my life.

My BPD ex made me go way over 4h (more like 16h) by threatening suicide, and that was when I had to go to sleep because I would work on the next day, I even called sick in the end because I couldn't sleep. Then the next week she would get into fights with me saying that I didn't care and never did anything for her, and that I hated her because I was pressuring her to get treatment, that if I loved her than I should let her recover in her own pace.
